Make your strat mean!

Features:

My American Standard Strat single coils I felt were wimpy and too twangy for my taste. I wanted something beefier that could put out thick overdrive, and also well defined fuzz - jimi like tones...This pickup set will do it!

 

The neck pu Lil 59 sounds more defined than a typical 59 in a LP. It's like the definition of a strat pickup combined with the fuller sound of an LP.

 

The middle pu Duckbucker sounds like a typical single coil strat pickup without the 60 cycle hum. Use this when you want the vintage strat sound for blues.

 

The bridge pu JB Jr absolutely screams. It is thick, full, and will cut through the mix as a lead pickup.

Quality:

I've had them installed for over a year now with nothing but attention getting face smacking tone! No function issues whatsoever. Also, a snap to install. Direct single coil replacement.

Value:

3 pickups for $205 on Musicians Friend is a steal...

Overall:

My setup is American Std Strat with Everything Axe Set pickups into a WayHuge Swollen Pickle Fuzz into a Fulltone Fatboost into a Vox AC30. Please understand this setup does not lend itself to a single coil strat into a Twin Reverb clean sound. But if you're looking for a fat strat sound that will achieve overdrive sounds you didn't think possible with a strat. This is it!

Great Pickups

Had these installed by my tech with a 5 way super switch so I could split the coils in position 2 & 4. That singing strat tone is still there in those positions and 1, 3 & 5 are FAT! I was worried about losing traditional strat tone and even though these pups do change the guitar's sound, it's not so different. It opens up so many more tonal characteristics of the guitar. Put em in and try em on low volume first. Nice. Then crank the volume and be prepared. Great pickups.

I put these in my Amercian Standard Hardtail Strat and they are excellent.  Much more versatile than the stock single coils and far less noise too.  Nice, full clean sound (for a Strat) and more output for distortion settings.  I luv 'em.

I installed this set in my American Standard Strat and I'm very happy with the results. The guitar is now extremely quiet; no hum or buzz at all. The volume and tone pots exhibit increased response. The guitar has a  unique tone at each position on the 5-way switch. I love what they've done for my strat. The only negative for this package is that you can have any color you want as long as you want white.Help us out guys, offer the set in black and cream...please.

Great Set Of Pickups

I used these to replace the standard single coil pickups on my 2008 Mexican Strat. The originals sounded good but the 60 Hz hum was unbearable. The sound changed after installing the Everything Axe pickups but I cannot tell how much since I do not have any reference other than the memory. Even more so since at the same time I installed a Graph Teck Black Tusq XL nut and a set of Graph Tech Original String Saver saddles. These pickups sound good, really good and are really quiet. For now I have them set at 1/8". With time I will play some more with the height of the pickups and the pole pieces.
