OVERVIEW

Jazz PU with high output and strong attack.

Application
High output true single-coil. Recommended for blues, classic rock, garage, heavy rock, classic metal and nu-metal.

Description
Developed for the bassist who needs the slammin' output of the Hot but with even stronger attack. The quarter-inch pole pieces and intense windings deliver a full response with great sustain. Includes logo cover.

Complete setup
Available in an individual neck and bridge as well as a combined 4-string calibrated neck and bridge set. Neck pickup is slightly narrower. Neck is RW/RP for hum canceling when both pickups are used together. Often used together with STC-2 or -3 Tone Circuits for optimal tonal control.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz Bass Pickup Set:

I put Seymour Duncans in my 1962 reissue about 25 years ago and it gave it a thick rich, almost high end Spector sounding bass tones. I put these in,and I noticed they were Bassline Seymour Duncans and they're no better, if not thinner than the stock Mex Pickups I took out. Very disappoint spent all the time, money, getting them put in, for nothing I would recommend them. It's not worth the difference in sound.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz Bass Pickup Set:

I own a Dean Razor NT Bass(among others)that looked great but the stock pickups buzzed through my amps(active electronics)so I had one of the local music stores upgrade them with a different kind. Still buzzed. Then I had the preamp replaced; still buzzed. Finally I had the bass changed from active to passive and it buzzed even more. Discouraged that the music store said there was nothing else I could do other than use a noise gate; I decided to call a musician friend who is also a Luthier and have him look at it.
Not only were the pickups not a matched set
(neck & bridge) but only bridge pick ups were used which the music store said was correct.
They even routed out the holes to make these fit!
So I ordered these on the Luthier's recommendation and had him install them.
This is the best this bass has ever sounded!
These pickups are GREAT. I'm very happy that this is no longer an issue. Be careful who works on your instruments. They may not know it all.
