Comments about Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Reverse Pickup:

I installed this "hotrodded humbucker" set (TB-4, SH-2n) in an Ibanez s420 w 500k volume pot. This combination is incredible. Presently, I'm rolling off some highs with the tone pot - may eventually go for 250k volume pot.
I play a wide variety of styles including blues, rock, country, alternative - and this set will handle all of it with ease. Heated up or cooled down, they don't fail - tone for days.
Splitting the coils gives a considerably weaker output, but that's to be expected, given that these are not high-output pups. I compensate for it by designating single coil channels in my floorboard fx unit.
The JB is rich in mids; not for everyone, but it cuts through the mix, and the harmonics are to die for! Bottom end is not as well-defined as I'd like, but that may be the amp I'm using.
The Jazz is the fullest, prettiest sounding neck pickup I've ever played - and as I said, sparkling clean or fired up and soaring.

    Fantastic Pickup

    By GD_NC

Comments about Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Reverse Pickup:

I put a TB-4 coupled with a SD Jazz in my Epi LP a few weeks ago and just I'm blown away. This is a great pickup combo. If you play through a tube amp you will be amazed a the variety of tones you can get from this setup. The JB drives the amp so well I've traded my distortion pedal for the volume knob on my guitar and now just use it for a lead boost. The Epi sounds so good my Gibson LP Custom with '57 Classics has been sitting in the case lately. One note for Epiphone LP owners - Measure your bridge pickup spacing before you buy. I had to exchange the SH-4 for the TB-4 to get the strings to line up over the pole pieces correctly. It appears some Epiphones are standard Gibson LP spaced(SH-4 = 48-49mm) and others are wider (TB-4 = 51-52mm).

Great sound! Awesome sustain and distortion

Comments about Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Reverse Pickup:

I just got my gtar back with a TB-4 JB installed on the bridge. When I got home and tried it I couldn't believe how amazing the sound it had. It has the crunchy sound that I wanted. I was so satisfaied. The harmonic is insane and the sustain is brilliant. Great for playing rhythm and lead. I highly recommend this baby! If you are into Avenged Sevenfold and all the other bands that sound like them, this is the pik up that you definately need.

    Once again, simply awesome

    By NeoSadist-BTzsY

Comments about Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Reverse Pickup:

I bought this on a suggestion from a friend who's "in the business": modded my Ibanez RX240 (crappy model, I know) with dual STK-S4 Classic Stack Plus and TB-4 (white) JB. I am yet again impressed! The JB sounds just awesome for anything on the harder side, even all the way into metal. One hint: leave the pole piece screws where they are set from factory. I made the mistake of screwing them down on my ESP (hot rodded combo). This sounds much better left alone. It sounds great split too (first time hearing it this way): quacks enough that it sounds like a single coil, yet with the same great harmonics and tone. Teamed with the classic stack plus's in split coil mode, it allows this combo to sound almost dead-on "Hot Strat".

    It's REVERSE ZEBRA

    By NeoSadist-BTzsY

    from Florida Panhandle

Comments about Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Reverse Pickup:

I love the JB pickup. I have one in the bridge of both my guitars. However, this one is REVERSE ZEBRA, not just "reverse". There's really no difference between this and a normal humbucker in the sense of polarity. I love the JB. It sounds great for Metal (i.e. Megadeth), Rock, etc, as well as clean. It's also wound a tad hot, which is great for switching over to it during solos. Seymour Duncan distinguishes the TB-4 from the SH-4 in the sense that the SH-4 is for non-tremolo guitars and the TB-4 is for tremolo guitars. There's a slight difference, but it's worth making sure you get the right one.

    seymour duncan TB-4

Comments about Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Reverse Pickup:

if you have a tremolo bridge thats 2 and 3/16 wide this is the perfect pick-up. both hi E and low E line up with the magnet pole pieces. this pick-up has an incredible low end, warm mids, high's are not irritating just right. I recommend it on a alder body and maple fretboard. it also produces a warm lead tone. works well with my classic 50(peavey). should be a standard for a guitarist that really gigs for a living, and plays with many different bands day in and day out.

Comments about Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Reverse Pickup:

Great sound and very versatile. Sharper sound over EMG. Ultimate humbucker when paired with the Duncan SH-2. Outstanding Price. Looks great. Works well with guitars with floyd rose pickup spacing. Recommended.
