I bought this for a gig on acoustic.
The pick-up is for a standard sound hole. I have various pro guitars: Gibson J-200, Martin OM-45 etc. it's great to be able to switch guitars with the pickup. The pickup is braced by dense foam along the sides which is about two and half times thicker than the soundboard. This allows you some adjustment on distance from the strings.
I can definitely recommend this pickup to anyone needing to amp a standard acoustic that doesn't have built-in pickups. The product is nicely packaged in a reusable cloth bag with instruction book and a long cable.
