Comments about Shubb Resophonic Guitar Capo:
I just received my Shubb Capo and realized it doesn't work on my Rogue Resonator.I contacted Shubb directly prior to purchasing the Capo and was assured it would work on my Rogue. It's an engineering glitch that's a pain but correctable. However, it doesn't. What I discovered is, it's the Rogue manufacturer and not Shubb who is at fault. The string height is improper on these makes. The low end of the fret board has the string height less than 3/8" above the fret board, thus inhibiting the use of the capo unless you literally raise the strings to insert the capo. Not a good thing. So, what I decided to do was have the cheap plastic nut on my Rogue replaced with a taller better quality "Bone Nut". This will raise the string height to the proper level.
Comments about Shubb Resophonic Guitar Capo:
I purchased this Dobro Capo to use on my Rogue Resonator Square Neck guitar. Even by following the adjustments directions to have it fit under my strings I still had to lift each string for it to slide under them before clamping it dowm to the neck. I have now found out from a Dobro luthier that the "Shubb" capos are intended for use on a "genuine" Dobro guitar. The features are great but this will come in to greater use when I finally acquire a real Dobro. I love using "Shubb" capos just the same. I have a few for my acoustic guitars. Always satisfied with 'em.
Comments about Shubb Resophonic Guitar Capo:
Sounds better to me than other dobro capos I've used. Probably because it clamps right onto the neck. It's easy to place it just right because you just put it up against the fret.
