Too Many Latches

Features:

Does an adequate job.

Quality:

Padding is rather thin, but overall seems built well enough.

Overall:

I bought this case to cart around my Recording King RP-06, which I also purchased from MF.  It fits this case well, but the excess number of latches drive me bonkers.  Seriously, does a guitar case really need 6 freakin' latches?

Surprising quality for the price

Features:

I took a chance and bought this for an all-brass resonator that I recently purchased. I wasn't sure it would fit, but it is nearly perfect. I might have to bolster the lower bout slightly to get the neck to sit flatter in there, since the body is slightly thinner than a typical classical, but other than that, no worries

Quality:

I was surprised at how nice the case is for the price. Very solid with a nice padded handle, arched top, 5 good latches and solid hinges. Nice finish to the outside. Looks, feels and functions like a much more expensive case. This is better than a factory case that came with one of my Larrivees and I'm tempted to replace it with one of these.

Value:

As stated above; if these are consistant as to quality, you can't go wrong.

Overall:

Great bargain, solid case. These isn't a lot of data or guidance out there regarding the proper case to house a resonator; I took a chance on this and came out ahead. I'm sure that it would be a good choice for the classical guitars its designed for. BTW, I love the green crushed velvet lining...unusual color. I would recommend that vendors include more precise measurements in their online descriptions to eliminate this guesswork, because if it hadn't fit well I would have had to hassle with sending it back...at vendor's expense.. I think you could avoid some of this by measurements, and maybe a partial list of guitars that fit perfectly in the case.

Beautiful case!

Features:

I recently purchased a 1920's Supertone parlor guitar w/out a good case. Another reviewer said this would work for a parlor guitar so I decided to try it. The guitar fits perfectly in this case with a little room to spare.

This isn't a case I would want to regularly carry on a plane (it's pretty heavy) but it has a sturdy foam interior, nice plush lining and enough latches to frustrate any TSA agent. I haven't flown with it yet, but from the looks of it I'm fairly certain it would protect your instrument extremely well in any overhead compartment or if gate checked. (I never check my guitars as luggage, and you shouldn't either if you value the life of your guitar!) The handle is a little funky. It's very well padded, but the angle is a bit odd and the hand opening is a little small if you have big hands. Still I don't plan on walking around with this a lot so I think it will be fine. It feels well balanced.

Quality:

This thing is built like a tank. The top has a bit of an arch in it which adds to the structural stabilty.

Value:

Super case for the price. Only $10 more than soft-sided cases are going for these days.

Overall:

So far I'm really happy with this case and would recommend it to anyone looking to protect a smaller scale guitar.
