i am building my own acoustic guitar.  the body is modeled after a martin 000/OM style and this case fits it perfect!  Not too tight, and not too loose for wiggle room.  Interior looks nice too.  No way to tell how it will hold up as time passes, but as of right now im stoked.

Dud?

Features:

I found this case to have lot's of poorly made features.

Quality:

Here's where this case let me down.  The case I received from Musician's Friend was adequately packaged and the shipping container had no visible damage (Thanks UPS).   I opened the case only to think it looked a little cheesy.  The "plush  emerald green interior" was actually extremely hard and scratchy feeling to my fingertips.  I was leary of placing my guitar in the case. (If you read between the lines on a previous 5 star review, you'll see the same mention and concern about the stiff interior)  I placed my 000 model guitar in the case and then noticed that the accessory compartment door did not fit the opening.  There was a 1/4 inch gap on the hinge side.  Next I noticed several areas where the interior material was unglued and pulling away from the case.  Also the same was happening to the tolex on the outside.  Finally the clasps (while plentiful) were actually loose fitting.

I returned the case the next day.

Value:

I have respect for most things made in China but not this guitar case.

Overall:

I was compelled to write this review to balance out all the great reviews.  Perhaps mine was a dud.  Perhaps the company changed hands... hired inexperienced labor... who knows... Buyer Beware!!

Thankfully Musician's Friend stands honors their comittment to customer satisfaction.  I am a longtime customer and will continue shopping online with a company I trust.

I bought this case for my Loar lh-250 and the fit is nearly perfect! The lining inside is a bit too artificial and stiff for my liking, but otherwise the materials are nice.  The build quality is certainly acceptable and should offer ample protection for years.

000 Silver Creek Case, Plush interior, good looking fabric, green crushed velvet or velour

Well made case, one year warranty, arch top is stronger than flat.  has double neck support, not single, six latches, good design, it just looks cool due to the additional curves fitting it to the guitar especially the neck area.  LEATHER handle, my gosh, you don't get this until you get into cases in the more expensive price range, so comfy and nice.  Best thing about the case is the way beautiful crushed velvet interior, snap, and pazzaz, it's gorgeous.  Does anyone ever lock a case?  Ha ha, it has a lock.  Exterior covering is nice. Fits the 000 Silver Creek just great, the T160 and T170.

Hard case for my Martin 000X1ae

| Review By: Jayson Whitmore | 5 months, 3 weeks ago

Features:

It has a 5 clasps, an interior pocket, and a lock.

Quality:

The foam inside feels a little cheap, but you get what you pay for.  It's not bad by any means, it's just not great.  The outer covering is good quality, and seems like it's pretty durable.

Value:

It's a great case for the price.

Overall:

I bought this for my Martin 000X1AE, and it fits perfectly.  I was actually pretty impressed with it.  Like I said, the foam in the inside feels cheap, but it's covered with a nice satiny green fabric.  But overall, it's a solid feeling case.  If you're like me and you can't afford an expensive case after you just dropped some cash on a guitar, then this case might be for you.
