The Audio & DJ console case's one-piece base is roto-molded of Linear Medium Density Polyethylene (LMDPE) while the hard front, rear doors, and lid are injection-molded of Rubber Modified Styrene (RMS). The back lid provides maximum access to your rackmounted audio equipment and DJ gear. Two TSA locking, SKB-patented trigger latches secure the lid while the flat hardtop allows for stacking in transport and in storage.

Great case for any mobile DJ.

Features:

This case has it all... its light, totally sealed when closed to keep out dust and weather, full 19" rack support into metal rack rails. Great space on top and below for additional equipment. There is a 1U space unused at the top of the rack - perfect for wires in/out and venting heat from inside the case. When the option shelf is installed, it completely folds up and into case for transport. Excellent.

Quality:

You can tell by looking at this case that it was constructed with the utmost case and the strictest ot quality standards.

Value:

I've see other cases but I believe the value this case gives you greatly out weighs all others. You won't be disappointed.

Overall:

Overall, I like this case adn would highly recommend to others.

Poor design

Features:

I bought this rackmount case with the optional rack for a computer. The designer did not allow space for the laptop computer and I have a very slim laptop computer. Therefore, the cover does not fit. That is the most import part because the computer must be protected.  Plus the first night out, the right side latch broke. I don't have the time nor want to expend the effort to do a return. Especially since I spent a whole day putting in the Furman and other rackmounted add ons and organized and velcroed the wiring. I have a large DJ Company in Tucson, Arizona and if this case worked out right I was going to buy 24 of them. A word to the designers, please test your product before sending it to the manufacturer.

This Audio and DJ Rack Case was absolutely worth every penny.  Not only  does it protect my gear, but it looks professional, and hides the  over-abundance of cables, ext. cords, etc.  I recommend this to anyone  looking to upgrade and go more professional.

Not so great!

Features:

With the addition of the shelf, which has to be ordered seperately it is a great idea. Lightweight and I can cram my whole rig in here.

Quality:

Not to happy here. SKB used to be practically bullet proof. Not so much any more. The bottom half which is most important is constucted pretty good, but the lid is crap and broke easily. Cheap plastic. The lid is a pretty important part since usually damage occurs to your gear while transporting. They should have used better quality material. If they wanted to make things right they should make a better lid available for replacement. Also, I think there quality control must suck. I have purchased 4 different SKB products in the last year and am only happy with 1. Which is the SKB Studio Flyer 2U. The rest have hardware such as hinges and latches mounted incorrectly.

Value:

Idea is great but the quality of there product now is just hindered.

Overall:

I did call SKB about my problems and they would have helped. Which meant sending stuff directly back to them and they would fix or replace. I simply dont have time for all that. I would have liked them to send me out a new hinge and I would have put in on correctly, but they could not do that. I am pretty crafty and was able to fix the problems my self. For the lid, I just drilled little holes along the outside of the crack and used zip ties. The case now has character and looks like it has stiches. Old trick I learned for the quad runners fenders and stuff when you wreck and need to put things back together real fast. For most I think SKB would be great in helping if you have time for all that. When I order stuff it is usually because I need it now, not later. I think I will continue to use the likes of Gator cases and maybe some others. Done with SKB.
