Comments about SKB Soft Case for 61-Note Keyboard:
I have used SKB hard cases for my basses for years, this is the first time I bought a soft keyboard case from them, and its a great case.
This is a relatively recent purchase. I bought this case in August 2012 to carry a Hammond SK-1 portable organ. There is more than enough room inside for that relatively compact organ.
Aside: I had previously purchased the 49-key SKB waterproof case for this organ, but it did not fit, despite what the specs said. The indents from the roller wheels invade the inside compartment and prevent the keyboard from sitting flat in the bottom of the case. I returned the 49-key version and bought this one.
I use the closed-cell foam packaging material that came with the Hammond to fill the gaps.
The case does what you expect it to do. I like the wide hold-down straps, and the outside pockets which provide plenty of room for essentials.
The one kinda question mark is the haul strap. I assume it would be to attach another bag like a laptop bag, like you do with luggage, which is all fine. But the haul strap is not removable, in case you don't want to do that. So most of the time it just flops around and gets in the way.
It's not the best thing since sliced bread, but I think this case is a great value and look forward to many years of functionality from it. The zippers and wheels look very sturdy but we'll see how they hold up over time.
