Comments about Spector Bass Gig Bag:

This bag is nice for NYC commuting, train bus or walk. The outer material seems durable, its light and the foam padding is thick so it is good quality (the bag stands up when it's empty). It's comfortable to wear, the bass doesn't wobble inside, and in turn the bag doesn't wobble on your back, so long walks are a blast. The shoulder straps are sewn in high on the bag, so while you walk, you don't look like you have an antenna over your head or crash into tree branches. Shoulder straps have adjustable rubber pads; the straps have reverse height adjusters, meaning as you step onto the train or bus, you can simply lower the straps and walk in. If you are 6 feet or taller, you can grab it by the front handle with glued on rubber padding, so the handle doesn't slide in your hand.
This bag is high in practicality. As I said before, it's light, comfy, and doesn't wobble around. Zippers are smooth. There are two pockets, one fits a real book and a notebook (or 2 real books squeezed together), and the front pocket fits 4 pencils, your cable, and 2 more zip pockets.
The only minus I see in this bag is a lack of a pocket near the headstock area, but everything else makes up for it.

    The Best I Have Owned

    By Russell Durity

    from Trinidad & Tobago

Comments about Spector Bass Gig Bag:

The "canvas" material is strong, and is water-resistant,not water-proof,but if i had to choose,i'd go with durability any day of the week,so i don't mind that it's not water-proof,it's durable. With dual-support shoulder straps, handles to hold it anyway you want to,strong zip & zippers, dual pockets, and rubber plates at the bottom for protection,as well as a generous helping of padding, this makes for a great product, thanks Spector.
This is the best gig bag i have owned so far,and even though i didn't buy it from this site,(i bought it in Trinidad from Live N Loud Music Store for $400.00TT Dollars),i still feel i got value for money.First of all, this item is well padded, back to front, the material is a strong "canvas" type material, which has so far, stood up to the rigors of my gigs, and travel. There's a handle on the right side of the gig bag to accomadate conventional horizontal "carry",a handle in the front for vertical "carry",(i found this to be a novel idea),as well as not one,but two shoulder straps for "back-pack" type of carrying(this is the feature i use the most,it frees my hands so that i can carry other things,),a sturdy zip which extends all the way to the bottom of the gig bag, with not one but two zippers, two rubber "plates" at the bottom of the gig bag,to protect it from hard surfaces, and the metal "arms" of guitar stands, and rounding off this list of features are not one,but two pockets mounted on top of each other, the bottom pocket being the larger of the two,is large enough to suit most needs, but Spector put another just in case, the second being just 3-4inches shorter than the first, but just as wide,an excellent idea.
I've had my Spector gig bag now for a little over three years, and it looks the same as i had bought it,not a blemish, not a tear anywhere, the zips still work fine(i'm happy to say),all straps are holding firmly(believe me,that's a plus in the tropics where i live)the heat and dust doesn't seem to have any effect on it,i wouldn't trust my Fender Jazz Bass to any other case since i bought this one,i recently bought an ESP B-206SM,with hard-shell case, but i'm going to buy another Spector gig bag,for this bass too!
Again i bought this in my country,Trinidad & Tobago,so i'm not in a position to compare prices with other countries, but i can say that it's worth every penny of the $400.00TT Dollars i paid for it,and would strongly recommend this product to all bass and guitar players, you won't regret it,i've owned a number of gig bags over my 30+ yrs as a professional, and none has stood up the way this one does,it's a great buy,and considering what it has to protect,$49US,is a steal of a deal, for this product.

Great bag for a great bass!!

    By Ancient Bassplayer

    from Upstate NY

Comments about Spector Bass Gig Bag:

Recently purchased a Spector 5 string but wanted a bag so it would be easier to carry two bases to a gig. Unlike the other gig bag I own, the quality of this one is amazing. With the secure shoulder straps of the Spector bag, I don't have to worry about the strap coming loose while carrying it over my shoulder as has happened several times with my other bag. The padding is thick, the zippers are heavy duty and there is ample space in the the front pouches for extra stuff. From the picture I expected a painted-on Spector logo but was please to see it was stitched into the case. A real bargin for the price compared to others available...
