Cons

  • Limited use for me

Comments about Vic Firth Split Brush:

I like using brushes and hard to be innovative in their design these days. These brushes I may not use much. The short wires tend to snag on the head as I play. Annoying.

Not sure these are for real yet. Don't yet have their feel in a gig setting yet.

Comments about Vic Firth Split Brush:

I'm What's Known as a Seasoned Pro Being in this Business for 50 years. Playing Many Different Venues From Jazz Rock Latin Blues Fusion Funk And Many Forms of Jazz. The Brushes Can be used in most Venues Including Rock or Rockabilly. But Always in Jazz As Drummers depending on the Gig , Size of Room Acoustics including instruments we look for that Balance Not to over powering yet as a whisper flutter as a Hummingbird when Needed. We've had many New Added Tools as Blass sticks Plastic rods and Cool and Hot Rods Wood Dowels. Brushes also have changed with Wire Thickness or having them Crimped at the Tip Wood Handles or Retractable. These Fix many venues A Brilliant Idea, Years Back Some of us would cut or trim our Brushes customize them for our liking, These Have many uses as the Flex brushes I love Plastic long Bristles with Wood Handle these do the same but with wire balance within its core shorten wires and thicker gauge Just Marvelous. I recommend them highly
