voodoo lab has really impressed me with this product, i love it with the pedal train 2. its the perfect marriage! it powers my Maxon od 9+, decimator, t-rex reverb, boss dd3 delay, MT wah, korg turner, and my spark booster by TC Electronics. the ONLY thing that i didn't like is that it doesn't have a dedicated 18V out so i use a adptor for my MXR EQ. but its not a deal breaker. Buy it, love it, enjoy it!

The wah issue is a big deal for me. I have to give a lower rating because of it. I sold my unit and bought a DC Brick and couldn't be happier. That unit can power 7 pedals at 9V and 3 pedals at 18V at the same time. The Pedal Power can't do that. While it's nice that the Pedal Power can run some pedals with power consumption needs that are outside the norm, most pedals are 9 or 18V, which makes the DC Brick a great option. And since it doesn't make my wah pedals hum, it's even better, for a lot lower cost.
Nice flexibility on the different voltage settings. Can power any number and combination of pedals that some other units might not be able to accomplish.
One drawback is the lack of dedicated 18V outlets. You have to take up 2 outlets with a special cable to power a pedal at 18V.
In general, this unit power pedals very cleanly and has low noise...unless you're using a wah pedal in its proximity. I've built two pedalboards using this supply and on both, the wah pedal picks up a very loud hum when engaged. Voodoo Lab says it's because the wah's inductor isn't properly shielded. While that may be the case, other power supplies do not seem to have this problem. Same pedals, same boards, but using the DC Brick? No hum at all. I have to give low marks on quality if they couldn't properly sheild the power supply so it doesn't interfere with a wah. Voodoo's answer was that I should invest in MuMetal foil and plating to sheild my wah. How about Voodoo invests in that same sheilding and encase their unit in it? This issue makes the power supply useless for me.
Because it is able to power some pedals that other boards can't: TC Nova Delay or Nova Mod, for instance, and some Line6 pedals, this is a good value. But I have to take some points off for not being able to use a wah near it.

Comments about Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply:
Best power supply ever. I just returned another brand because of too much background noise. I have been using batteries forever due to not being able to find a noise free power supply. A Pro Friend recommended a Pedal Power 2+ and I am amazed. No noise and no more batteries. This is almost better than a new guitar!!!

Comments about Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply:
Installed this on my new Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard using the brackets that came with the PT-2. It was a quick and easy install (less than 1 hour). The screws that came with the Pedaltrain were very cheap and one broke but that's a Pedaltrain problem and not a voodoo issue. Using this to power 4 bass pedals and a Line 6 wireless (had to use the 5/6 outputs for the Line 6 since it requires more current). Working great so far.
One thing to note, I'm not using the sag controls. If I were or needed to, after installing this under the PT-2, the knobs are inaccessible. This is not an issue for me but might be for someone else.

Comments about Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply:
This power supply delivers as promised: no hum or noise, as the outputs are all isolated for ground as well.
my previous powersupply, not Voodoolabs, did not have that, and therefor did produce unwanted hum.
I connected the outputs 7and 8 together using the (optional) voltage-doubling cable, and then reduced each output to about 7V, for a total of 14V. This gives very good results for the Fulltone GT-500 (which sounds a bit thin on 9V, but too aggressive on 18V. Nice feature to be able to adjust voltage a bit down from 18V in this way!
All other outputs 1-6 run on standard setting 9V.
Output 6 powers the new TC Flashback X4 delay, which is rated at 300mA, runs ok.

Comments about Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply:
I bought this on recommendation of my wife(electronic tech). I had horrible buzz with my pedalboard using a 1 spot power supply. Only one ground picks up noise on every pedal. Well the voodoo pedal power 2 grounds them seperatly eliminating the buzz comepletely on the clean channel and minimal on the high gain side. I use a Mesa mini recifier and a G&L Legacy with single coils and a Fender Tele with pearly gates pickups. Even the single coils are nearly silent on the gain side of the amp. American made and heavy as a brick does the trick for me. Impressed with this power supply and my wifes knowledge.

Comments about Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply:
Nice power supply but I ran out of outlets too fast.
1 for buffer
2 for 18v OD (I had to spend a bit more for the special cord)
1 for tuner
1 for EQ
1 for compressor
1 for Noise reduction
1 for looper
daisy chain in my phaser, delay & choris, another cord needed
The size is not too large, it all still works well

Comments about Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply:
I switched to this from the One-Spot. Night and day difference. The noise I was getting from the One-Spot was nearly unbearable; it ruined my tone. This, however, hardly makes any noise at all. Can power all of my pedals, though there are only 2 outputs that work with pedals that require more power (i.e. Boss DD20). Comes with a battery adapter and an 1/8th jack that works with my Pro Co Rat. Not super cheap, but not overly expensive, either. Something like this, you really want to go for quality, or your tone will be sucked dry.

Comments about Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply:
This is a solid, powerful and versatile power supply. Best of all it's dead quiet. I've been using daisy chain type power supplies for years - they're cheap, and they work, but they're noisy (especially with certain pedals), and prone to breakage. The Voodoo Labs costs a bit more, but it's well worth it.
This PS mounts neatly under a Pedaltrain board - this is a great feature, but requires adding brackets to the PS, and drilling holes in the board. Not a huge deal, but it seems to me that if these companies are in bed together, they can come up with a more elegant, power-tool free solution. Just a thought!

Comments about Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply:
I bought this along with a pedaltrain 2 ata case pedal board. After yrs of home made boards and burning up several 1 spots. 1spots do work but they always added a hiss to the signal. My sennheiser wireless is also on the board and it added a high pitched whine from its power supply. I use one of the L6 cables and outlets to power the wireless as it is 12v and it is silent. all the hiss from the other pedals is also gone of course engaged od pedals add a little noise as that is what they do but the noise is probably reduced by 60%. I power 7 pedals including dd20 all are silent. Price wise it's the same as buying another pedal. But one could argue that silent power might b more important than how many pedals u run. It is built like a steel brick and mounts tbelow a pedaltrain board which is awesome. I should have done this setup 10 yrs ago.
