Comments about WD Music Tuners 6 In Line:
I have Ping, Grover, and Shaller tuners on various guitars and thes WD tuners have that quality feel and looks. I put them on my custom build Tele and they have a smooth even rate of turn. I am not worried about being period correct on this guitarI have a Fender Custom shop Texas bridge pup on a Vintage 3 brass saddle Fender bridge U.S.A. but a Di Marzio Split Coil Humbucker on the neck with 3 position coil tap. Custom neck with jumbo nickel silver fret 1/8" below bone nut for sustain that won't quit. 22 nickel silver frets on a 24-3/4" scale below that.
Musicians Friend is a good source for Period correct parts or custom mod.
They come with mounting screws and are tension adjustable.
The finish is clean and bright. The parts screw together nicely. You may need to plug pre- existing holes that these do not cover depending on make and model. If you have to drill out the headstock as I did Use a number drill under 3/8 dia. and dont go all the way through. Drill from the back side only enough for the tuner body to fit. The top nut piece is smaller. This also prevents splinering the top side of the headstock and ruining a guitar.
These are great tuners at a great price.
Comments about WD Music Tuners 6 In Line:
One of the threaded studs seized in tuner and sheared off during installation. What fun is a five string when you want a six string? Metal fatigue like this indicates poor quality parts/manufacture. I have installed dozens of bass and guitar tuners and do not believe this a case of user error.

I just installed these on my guitar and they work great.
Comments about WD Music Tuners 6 In Line:
I ordered these tuners (in black) about a week ago and they arrived yesterday. I had a 1993 Fender Squier (Korean) with the sloppy original tuners and wanted something better. This is an easy DIY project if you take your time and have a few tools. You need a 3/8" drill bit to enlarge to wholes for the new tuners and just go slow and keep your drill straight. Install the new tuners starting closest to the nut and work out so you can tightening them up with the wrench. Line up the tuners and then pre-drill the screw holes so so you don't damage the screw heads (maple is a pretty hard wood). When I was finished, there was only 1 screw hole on the headstock that was not covered. My guitar now tunes up easily and I'm quite pleased with the function and appearance of the tuners. You can spend a lot more but not sure unless you got locking tuners it would be worth the price difference.
Comments about WD Music Tuners 6 In Line:
I bought these tuners for my squier strat and they make a world of difference. The original strat tuners were worthless from the start. These are very basic and easy to install...I had to use a 3/8" drill bit to enlarge the peghead holes but other than that it was quick and easy. They keep the guitar in tune and when I do tune back up they are smooth. I bought some gotoh tuners of the same style and these seem just as good. Get them if you need to replace yours and don't want to spend a fortune.
