Quartz Metronome with sound or light beat indication.

Easy to use, the Wittner MT50 metronome prominently features a tempo dial that adjusts between 40 to 208 beats per minute. The MT50's speaker produces a loud "tick" sound, which is easier to hear in context than the "beep" produced by most other electronic metronomes. The MT50 also has a flashing LED beat indicator, which can be used for silent practice or along with the speaker for added visual reference.

The MT50 also generates an A=440 reference tone for tuning. A built-in wire stand allows convenient upright positioning. Earphone included.

Uses one 9V battery (not Included).

Features

  • Tempo Range: 40 to 280 Beats/Minute
  • Beat Indication: Click Sound and/or Light

This is my second time purchasing this Wittner metronome. The first time I gave it to one of my students who couldn't afford one at the time, so I rebought my own. Works wonder, easy to use, loud enough to hear behind all my racket on the piano, and sturdy! hehe Try it out, it's my best friend when I practice.

Never had a problem with it.Owned about 10-15 years.

Bought this model based on salesperson recommendation that it can be clearly heard while playing; I agree. Stand places it close to a 45 degree angle. The silent mode and A440 tuner can come in handy. The sound of the click is more like one of those wooden metronomes with the pendulum arm, not a high pitched electronic beep. Since it has an earphone jack it can be plugged into an amp if needed. I like its use of a 9V battery since they are less likely to leak if not used for a long time. Owned about 10-15 years. I'm glad I bought this one.

Love it except 2 things...

This would be the perfect metronome if it had two more things: a volume control, and a selection of diferent click-tones.

I love the rotary dial, it is much much much more convenient than ANY digital metronome. For proper use of a metronome, you want to practice and "ladder up" in speed just a few BPM faster at a time. This is PERFECT for that.

It's loud enough to play against, but a little too loud sometimes. volume control please.

The sound of the click is bit like a wood block. But I wish there were selectable tones.

Wow, I was just browsing the metronomes and saw this unit that I've owned for over 20 years.  Yeah, I've dropped it and all kinds of things.  The sound isn't terrible loud, so I usually run it through an amp, which works.
