Let's be clear about something because I have been reading a lot of reviews about this product, about how it's a pointless and it's to much work. Oils on your cymbals do not "add character" it changes the tone for the worse and seriously degrades the sound quality of your cymbal crashes, taps and brushes. Any serious drummer should know that a lot of time and effort was put into professionally tuning and shaping your cymbals before you got them, do yourself a favor and put in a little effort to keep that sound quality! Best of luck, and rock on!

    Its great!!

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish:

This stuff is amzing, and you dont have to use much to clean your cymbals. I've had the same bottle for about 9 months now, and its still about half way full. I clean mine every week. And a lil dab on a wash cloth or rag will clean alot, i clean 2 crashes, splash, mini and 18 china ride and hi hats. and use about a little less than a palm full, but make sure to clean it from the bell to the edge! works the best so you dont get residue marks, but great product!! Now only if it weren't Zildjian...

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish:

this stuff is awesome, i used this other cymbal cleaner called, "Groove juice," on my zildjian 16 inch a custom and it discolored the cymbal and it looked like absolute crap! then i used this stuff on it and boom it was like magic it was shiny as ever and the horrible discoloration was fixed! i just wish this stuff came in a larger tube or something cause it's awesome

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish:

This product works as described. Note one thing, THERE IS NO PRODUCT THAT YOU CAN WIPE ON AND WIPE OFF!, unless you want to try acid, but who has a vat of that laying around. Younger crowd listen up!!, put some elbow grease into it, let it turn black, then with a clean cloth, buff off for a show room shine. Veterans that have done what I just mentioned... use the mothers speed ball on a variable speed drill. Just becareful not to sling it on ya self!! When I was younger I used to use a product called "Brasso". Let me tell you, I used to rub my "asso" off! This product by Zil is modern day. Put some work into it and appreciate the payoff and be proud of what you can accomplish instead of looking for an instant fix!! nuff said!
    Simply put...it works!
Middle of the road here...might consider marketing a bigger bottle for first time users...first time you've cleaned them you're gonna use some!

    Better Than Most

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish:

I play A Zil for ride and hats and Sab's for crashes. I have used thr cleaner as wll as BarKeeper's Friend. BarKeeper's Friend is more abrasive and will clean deeper. I use it to clean when they get really bad and then polish with the Zil polish. I bought a cheap 6 Blak & Decker orbitol buffer and get a bright new look shine, forget logos with this technique they go away quickly. But if you nee a logo to appreciate your cymbals quality then elbow greas away.If you really want a shine use McGuire's paste wax or consider clear lacquer.wax deepens or darkens the sound a little and lacquer will shorten decay a little. When played alone you notice the change, but in the mix it isn;t noticible at all.I enjoy the brilliant shine much more than a logo,Iknow what I play and their quality, most in the audience haven't got a clue.

    Elbow grease required

    By Bring down the Hammer

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish:

Come on drummers, this stuff works. Having played drums for many years in PA, it was hard to find a good product to clean up the precious metal. PA has high humidities causing oxidation and outdoor events are hard on the cymbals. This stuff takes a little elbow grease, but the results are awesome. Another good product is called Blue Magic and comes in a tube. I use buffing cloth for general cleaning or old t-shirts. For application I use old socks, just put that sucker on your arm and double up at your hand, or you will get black finger! Use about once a month, and do about a quarter of the cymbal at a time. I use a stand to hold the cymbal, get yourself a chair, get a clean, soft cloth for your other hand to hold the edge of the cymbal and go nuts. Also have set up an electric 1/4

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish:

I use to subscribe to the "never clean your cymbals" camp but after having my cymbals for about 10 years, I was not happy with the way they were sounding. Most noticeably the ride cymbal. As a last resort, I tried this cleaner and was amazed. They sounded just like they did when I bought them. Go figure! It took the entire bottle and several hours of rubbing to remover 10 years of dirt but was well worth it. I also found by washing the cymbal with Dawn in the sink first helped a lot. Also, my wife wasn't happy but the small cotton pads that she uses to remove her makeup work great with this. I used an entire pack of pads but they are really cheap.

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish:

I had a positive experience with the zildjian cymbal cleaner. I had previously only used the old 'buckaroo' cotton-can cymbal cleaner, which did work, but required monumental effort. This stuff took off much more build-up in a lot less time. Typical wipe on/work in, then polish/buff out with a clean polishing cloth/etc. Cleaned some old zildjian a custom projection hats that I had bought used 10 years ago, and although I had cleaned them with the buckaroo, they never looked as good as they do now. And the cymbals actually do sound slightly different, and I feel that they sound better. I used it on zildjian a custom hats, zildjian a crash, and zildjian a 20" med ride. I also used it on my old paiste 502 set, and it worked fine on those as well, though they weren't that grimy to begin with.
