I wasn't expecting much when i got this. i mean i was expecting it to sound like a marshall mg or a cheap randall or B52 but such is not the case.

I bought this for a backup amp incase my main amp blows a tube or something at a show and so i dont waste my tubes in practice. and this thing has met and exceeded my standards. it has a nice clear tone. not as powerful and as full as a tube head but it sounds great. smooth and the gain can really pack a punch if you know how to dial in your settings. and i was worried because only one channel of knobs for all three channels it has but my clean sound sounded great with my dist settings. and idk about the cab, i didnt get it with this. i actually play out of an old very sought after crate blue voodoo cab with v30's and it sounds beautiful.
All I really ask for of an amp is your typical 2-3 channels with a one clean and one dirty and with your basic bass mid treb knobs. the only thing that i really dont like about it is that it is 3 channels but all the knobs are on one channel, kinda deal. but gotta say the mid frequency knob is definitely nice. and i really dont need the built in effects because i have an HD500. but the thing i like more on this amp than the hd500 is the short delay. i just dont have the patience to dial that in in my pod. and this one's is great for me.
solidly built with great leather instead of tolex. just worried its going to get torn up really fast.
for this amount it is a steal!!!

I bought this amp thinking I could run effects into the clean channel and it wouldn't matter that the on board effects are weak. It might be ok for someone who is just starting out playing, but after having it for a few months Im not very happy with it. It has a very thin sound, especially when I play lead. I'm going to upgrade soon..... The guitar " technician" , sales person let me play it in the store and I made the mistake of not turning it up, AND of course the guitar he let me borrow in the store was a very expensive LP...thanks.....

Nice amp

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120H DSP 120W Guitar Amp Head:

Amp does exactly what I wanted. I am using it for "clean / mellow" sound through one of my Marshall cabinets. Sounds great for that. Very quiet and quite adjustable for tone. No noise whatsoever when using an ABY switch in front of it.

Although I have not spent much time on the overdrive channel, it definitely has enough gain to achieve "metal".
Just what I was looking for from a feature standpoint. Good, versatile amp that I purchased strickly for a clean setup, the amp packs a good punch on the overdrive channel.

The onbard effects ar decent, but I use a POD in front so I haven't spent much time with them.
Nice amp so far. Looks good and works good.
Definitely a value for the money

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120H DSP 120W Guitar Amp Head:

got this with the 412 cab, very surprised at the tone as I was looking at the marshall ma series, which was quite a bit more. for a dsp solid state,it has great distortion and great cleans, and takes my pedals well. and it gets loud!!
the total footprint is very manageable, and easier to move to gigs when I need more power, not to mention it looks great!

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120H DSP 120W Guitar Amp Head:

I actually picked this amp as a cheap way to drive a talk box, but then I got it home, put it through it's paces and found it to be an excellent sounding amp. As a profesional musician I've used countless tube amps and a few solid states over the years. I use vintage fenders and marshalls regularly. This amp holds it's own. It's sweepable midrange makes it very versatile. The effects cover a lot of ground in the simplest of formats. If you are a vintage vibe nut then maybe you won't like it, but if you are a gigging musician this amp is an amazing offering at any price. A fellow musician friend of mine plugged into this amp and quickly decided to go buy one right away. I've got the combo version on order.

Bottom line - don't underestimate this amp.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120H DSP 120W Guitar Amp Head:

very one dimensional amp, only volume is at high distortion levels. Very unsuited for blues, jazz, or classic rock. The DPS is a joke, only one control of the effect, (level) the midrange of the amp only makes the sound boxy or nasal,, the mid sweep button just magnifies the awful mid sound, I really can't say much of anything good about this oe trick pony of an amplifier,, If your genre of music is a super distorted thrash type music,, then you may do ok, but you will still lack a lot in volume department,, this amp is a dog. the only recommendation I ld make about this amp is DON'T BUY ONE

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120H DSP 120W Guitar Amp Head:

I had an Acoustic amp in the 70's and ordered this. I like to have backups available for unforseen problems and solid state is perfect. This is a high quality amp with both channels sharing a tone stack. The clean channel rivals my old Rivera amp with very useable delays etc. No footswitch. I use my 2 button Rivera fs as well as a peavey bandit 2 button fs. 8 ohm spkr out. no effects loop or line out. Mine arrived in pristine condition and I love it! I like having the flexibility of using different amps and this is a steal for the money. Loud. nice cleans. overdrive is okay. but I use a pedalboard. I recommend!

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120H DSP 120W Guitar Amp Head:

Nice & versatile tones. The gain channel has a nice distortion for practice and recording. I use an Ibanez RG series guitar & one (1) Kustom, 120 watt, mono (4 x 12) speaker cabinet. It works for recording & I have a unique tone compared to most others. But, the features are lacking. Only a send/return jack for effects in the back w/ two 1/4 inch speaker outputs. So-plan on micro-phoning this one out no matter the event! The effects are meant for sampling & best turned off if you have another source for effects. The send knob keeps trying to fall off after seven months of use as well. Overall, unique tones that are good for home uses like recording or rehearsing. I'd suggest a Randall RG1003H 100W Solid State Guitar Head for live and loud instead. Remember, you will need microphones if you plan on performing or recording with this amp; because the send/return channels sound very fuzzy when used directly with recording. I use an Audix and Peavy duo microphone combo for recording and small gigs-and I am pleasantly surprised and happy so-far!

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G120H DSP 120W Guitar Amp Head:

My good amp needed to be fixed so I need something cheap to tide me over. For the price you do get decent tone. The effects are mediocre, but in a live setting, some are usable. All FX are 'set' with no tweakability other than running dry to wet.

The clean channel is very good, but is nowhere near as loud for a 120watt solid-state. The lead channel makes up for that, but expect to make some adjustments if going through a PA between clean and lead channel

You can spend a long time dialing in between MID and FREQ (button out) and it is very sensitive as far as the sweep of the FREQ pot. Can get that "Q" dialed-in spot and (of course) the overused scooped mid transistor overdrive with button in.

Not bad for a low-price solution for live. Just make sure it's paired with the right speakers. It sounded terrible through my Hellatone 60s 2x12 cab, but sounded great through one of my old 1x12 celestion custom cabinets and through a pair of Eminence Texas Heats.
