PF-210HE Bass Speaker Cabinet
Drawing from the classic design of Ampeg's legendary Portaflex cabinets, the PF-210HE bass speaker cabinet combines vintage styling with the performance of a modern 450W cab.
The PF-210HE's 2 - 10" Eminence drivers deliver true Ampeg tone with plenty of punch along with a 1" high-frequency driver with level control for dialing in the perfect amount of highs.
PF-500 Portaflex
Ampeg's Portaflex PF-500 bass head delivers a staggering 500W of power in an ultra-compact design providing pure Ampeg tone in an extremely portable package. Precise tone controls and gig-friendly input/output options provide ultimate flexibility. Pair it with Ampeg's PF Series flip-top cabinets for the vintage styling and portability of the iconic Portaflex originals.
The tone stack on the PF-500 provides an extensive array of tone controls for shaping your sound. Bass, mid, and treble controls come standard with a 5-position mid switch for finding the perfect midrange level for your sound. Ultra Hi/Lo boosts add even more on-the-fly options, and an onboard compressor keeps your levels in check and your tone punchy and tight.
At the gig or in the studio, the PF-500 is ready for action with a balanced direct out with pre/post-EQ selector, -40dB pad, and ground lift. An effects loop with dedicated mix control is footswitchable with the optional Ampeg AFP2 2-button switch.

love the amp. I was struggling for weeks between about five different amps similarly priced. I rolled the dice and went with the portaflex and couldn't be happier. great tone I can always get the sound I want no matter what style I'm playing. good volume with just the two ten cab, but if you want to pull all 500 watts better get another 8 ohm cab. I would recommend this amp for any style.

I say buy it! This set-up is a winner even if you have to take 5 minutes to put on the thicker stripping (that they should have done in the first place). It should be able to handle small to mid sized gigs and they won't be dropping the price for sure!
The fliptop is superbad and the look of the cab is beautiful. Easy to use and great tone. The features are good all most players will ever need for EQ and such. Fliptop option is very cool. They should have put more than one handle on it just for the heck of it though Like on the sides instead. The audio input for connecting an ipod or mp3 is what sucks because you can only listen through headphones and not the cab. So if you want to practice to some music you have on your player you better get the headphones out. Very dumb! Even my Acoustic AB50 combo is capable of doing this without headphones.
Unfortunately I didn't get to try the pf115
This little guy seems to have been put together well with a few exceptions. 1. the audio input I mentioned before. 2. You will want to go to a hardware store and buy some rubber weather stripping with adhesive backing I used 3/8" x 3/4" but if I did it again I would try the 1/4" x 3/4". The stripping that they use is like 1/8" and not to say that all off the cabs don't seal properly but mine and several others have had to do this...its a low dollar fix but you shouldn't have to do it on a new cab. Buy one or test one out if it sounds like there is some unwanted vibration coming from the top of the cab this is what you will need to do... it fixed mine. I have heard some gripe about the casters but haven't rolled mine around much.
For what you get I think it is a good value.

This amp is perfect!! absolutely wonderful tone, all the features you could want on the head, the cab is light weight, and the top does come off, so you can use the cab to transport all your cables. the cab is rated at 8ohms, which means that the head will push 300 watts max unless you buy another cab, but all the same, it gets LOUD!!comes with casters also, which just pushes what is already perfect that much further! ;D
