A newly designed volume pedal for the overcrowded pedal board.
The FV-30H and FV-30L are compact foot volume pedals with kickin' new designs. They've been specially created for saving space on your pedal board while maintaining the trusted BOSS standard for sound quality, reliability, and durability. These pedals are 100-percent professional grade, aluminum die-cast units, and feature smooth pivot action that supports subtle changes in volume control. Thanks to their small size, the FV-30H and FV-30L offer a huge advantage for traveling musicians and gigging players who need to maximize pedal board space.
As with the other models in the FV series, two different pedal versions allow you to choose the best type for your specific application:
FV-30H-A high-impedance pedal (with dedicated tuner output) that's best for connecting directly to an electric guitar or bass.
FV-30L-A low-impedance pedal equipped with stereo input/output for stompboxes, keyboards, and other digital instruments.
- Space-saving volume pedals with rugged aluminum die-cast body designs
- Silky feel with smooth pivot for maximum control
- Stereo input and output (FV-30L)

Comments about Boss FV-30L Compact Volume Pedal:
This is the "low impedance" (L) model, meaning it is expecting a low impedance signal, such as what comes from active pickups, or a buffered pedal, or your amp's fx send. I have this VP in my amp's fx loop and it works perfectly, acting as a master volume, because I only want the pedal to control overall volume, not gain and volume.
The only "con" is that it took me a little while to adjust to the short sweep compared to a larger standard VP, but that wasn't a dealbreaker at all. I much prefer the compact size on my board.
Otherwise there really isn't much else to say. It's a volume pedal. It controls volume. And it does it smoothly, quietly, and reliably. Build quality seems to be excellent. I recommend this pedal. But remember if you're going to connect your passive pickup equipped guitar directly to a volume pedal, get the high impedance version, not low impedance.
