OVERVIEW

Classic envelope effect for guitar and bass.

That's right, we know how you like it. The DOD 440 (2014) makes your guitar speak with vowel-like sounds, and cry with slow-filter sweeps that react to your pick attack. The new addition of the up and down switch lets you choose which part of the sweep you want to emphasize. Guitarists will love the "UP" setting for classic envelope quack. Bassists will love the "DOWN" setting for big dub sub thunder. The 440 is back and the neighborhood will never be the same.

The DOD Envelope Filter 440 (2014) has Level and Range controls. Level controls the sensitivity of the envelope; adjust this control to tailor the triggering of the filter based upon your pick attack. With a higher sensitivity, a lower signal will affect the envelope's effect. In other words, with a higher sensitivity you don't have to pluck as hard to make the effect audible. Range controls the range of movement of the envelope's sweep. Counter-clockwise sweeps more low frequencies. Clockwise sweeps more high frequencies. The Voice switch allows you to choose which part of the filter sweep you want to emphasize. True bypass allows your guitar tone to remain pristine even when the new DOD 440 (2014) is off. This is a big difference from the original which would color your bypassed tone. The modern 9V DC power supply input make the pedal more pedal board friendly.

Comments about DigiTech DOD 440 Envelope Filter Guitar Effects Pedal:

Not owning a power supply,I was disappointed to see the pedal didn't come with a battery. It did however come with a gnarly sticker, which I'm stoked on. Cue up the violins. This may sound cheesy: but I got this effect because I'm a deadhead and a huge Jerry fan. "I didn't know him but he was a friend of mine."- Ween... When I ordered this stomp box it was on back order, so I've been curious about this boy for a minute. You know? Well it came today and I've been playing Jerry's licks, drinking beer and toking (it's legal here) hehe. But yeah man, it reacts well to Fender style amps and Strat style guitars: with single coils or hums. The box didn't have any instructions, which is kind of a bummer (you know?) although it's mad easy to control. The switch is aesthetically pleasing; that being said the down position is totally lame. It's like, ow! As opposed to, wow! You know, wow being the up position, which is like a full scoop of a wah pedal. Not sure how it will last over time but as for today, I gel with it. Cheers

Comments about DigiTech DOD 440 Envelope Filter Guitar Effects Pedal:

If the name isn't a give let me tell you, this guy makes you funk out! Really great little pedal to add to the board to put some extra flair and ummfff into your sound. It's great with the little toggle to make to change the tone up a bit. Overall, everything you play is going to sound funkalicious!! Sounds even better with an over-drive or fuzz
