I've had this amp for about 2 months now, gigging most weekends, and rehearsing weekly. I cannot say enough about the great tones, responsive feel, and versatility of this beauty. I fell in love with her at the first strum, and continue to be amazed at how much I can make this amp do. While you're not going to get '2 amp versatility' like some would want to believe, you can get some very nice tone and feel from it. I run the clean channel on 30 watts, and get a really nice, chimey Fender-like tone, with buttloads of headroom. On the dirty channel, it's 1 watt setting, with enough gain to let the JB humbucker scream loud and proud. I can clean it up by switching my pickup to the Lil '59 or Cool Rails (all Seymour Duncans) and dialing down the volume. Everything you read about the line-out, reverbs, and other goodies are true; this amp does it all. I also mic my amp at gigs, though she's loud enough for most gigs if you can tolerate the stage volume. My only complaint, while minor, is that I've already had tube problems- the EL-84's went south on me two months in to our relationship, and now the honeymoon is over. After a brief email conversation with the great customer service at Egnater, I'll be receiving a new set of tubes at no cost in the mail shortly. Thankfully, since this baby has two sets of power tubes, I can still gig with her on just the 6V6 tubes, although the tone is much different than my usual setting of equal amount of tube power. I rated it low on value due to the cost of this amp, but as with anything musical, you get what you pay for. So pay more.

Actually I sell this amplifier in the store i work at and must say the tone you can get out of it is amazing. After purchasing I felt like I have finally found the perfect tone that I have been searching for. Unfortunately the amp crapped out on me in the third set of the second gig I did with it. It was very depressing because I truly love and I mean love the tone I get from this amp. I have also had customers with the same problems in all of the Egnater line. They are very problematic. It is on repair right now and im not certain if ill gig with it again. It is kind of like a girl that cheats one you. If she does it once, she will most certainly do it again.

I write my own stuff. So, for me it's rhythm. Add the ext cab, definitely! put my 2nd lead player on it, with his strat and tube screamer. 4 tweaks and took crazy nuts awesome to a new level. Should have seen the smile! Watch out who you let play your rig! Hard to get a turn back on it! Everyone loves this thing! No matter what axe.

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 112 1x12 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:
I bought this amp from guitar center way back in December of last year. I bought a few stompbox effects ( distortion, reverb, compressor) but as soon as I started to add effects to the amp it kept on making this loud booming sound. which I have no clue where its coming from. I have tried using the effects loop but it never works. ( makes even stranger loud noises) so instead I just try putting effects in front of the amp and I STILL get that annoying BOOM sound. URGGGGH, who knew that tube amps would be such a pain to deal with. I've tried contacting Egnater but the guy just told me that I needed to replace my tubes. and I'm like, " What the heck?? I haven't had the dang thing barely a year." I'm definately going back to using amp modeling, at least that never failed.

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 112 1x12 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:
The variation in tone available in this small package, combined with Maple Syrup warmth and some real (tube) power make this a great little amp. From really clean, to slight distoriton, to nicely sustainable feedback, to good and crunchy rythm and screaming leads, all you need is setting the channels and the foot swith. While I love the tone as is, the addition of a second 12" extention speaker (remember to change impedence switch) makes her really stand out. Love it, love it, love it.

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 112 1x12 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:
I've been looking at this amp and toying with it for over a year at my local music store. I really liked the tones that it had, and it's sharp looks too. When MF had it for a "Stupid Deal" I knew this was my chance to afford it. I have not been disappointed. This amp will do anything I have put played through it and do it well. It has some amazing tones, from prestine cleans to a great overdrive it does it all. Buy one you will not be disappointed.

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 112 1x12 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:
In the last 3 years I have had 3 Blues Jrs, 2 Hot Rod Deluxes, Deluxe VM, and a Super Sonic 22. I found what I was looking for last week with the Rebel 30; an amp that worked for every guitar and every tone I wanted. (Gretsch Phoenix, Tele, Strat, Les Paul). Thank you, Bruce!

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 112 1x12 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:
I love the range of tones that the controls give. Also, the gain control on the dirty channel ramps gain gently and is easily controllable. The amp tube pot for EL84 vs 6V6 adds some nice subtle tone variation. If you push the clean channel is adds just a hint of very pleasant break up. Mostly I can get the tones I want without shattering windows or causing my ears to bleed. The vocalists in the band love it because it gets great tones without stepping on what they're doing.

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 112 1x12 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:
I have hardly wandered over to the second channel. I was after CLEAN! And I'm real happy with the remarkable clean sounds!!! Very shapable! Very tunable! Nice at low volume and controlable! To be used in recording and small gatherings.
The two channels offer a huge pallet of sounds! I'm a week in and still investigating.
I was fine with a Tweaker 15 watt, but the added features moved toward the Rebel 30 Combo. Overall volume is very controlable! Features are a strong attraction!
My only trepadation regarding this product was the Chinese manufacturing. It sure helps the price! Other reviews I read, gave me some security re: reports of support from Egnater.
Quite remarkable!
Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 112 1x12 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:
Overall I have been ecstatic with this amp and consider myself a true Egnater convert after years of being a Fender and Vox man (still won't give up my Vox's though, love the jangle I guess). Very versatile and well built. Way to go Bruce Egnater.
So many options, I don't even know where to begin. If I only had one word it would be TONE, but fortunately I get a lot of words. I play a wide range of styles and this just about covers all of them (with the proper application of a couple of pedals). Yes, as other reviewers have stated, if you want to do metal with this amp, add a distortion pedal (Visual Sound's Jekyll and Hyde will push it right into Dual Rectifier territory with both engaged) but it will cover almost every other overdrive/distortion sound you could want without one. The variable wattage control is an awesome feature and I like to keep the wattage low on channel 2 (gain channel) as it tends to break up faster and can get really nasty sounding if you want it to, or crank up the wattage for a nice bluesy drive. The reverb is very musical and warm and the clean channel easily gets you into Deluxe Reverb territory (especially if you use the tube mix to dial just the 6V6's). On that note if you use the EL84's or 6V6's exclusively the wattage output is limited to 20 watts, straight up 12 O'clock will push the power to 30 watts and covers a unique harmonic range than either set of tubes can deliver alone. This amp has a great warm sound that just jumps out in the mix (especially with the bright switches engaged).
Very solidly built and lightweight (great for those of us who prefer an easy setup and tear down at gigs). No skimping on materials here. The beige and black color scheme is really gorgeous and the pictures don't do it justice (it just makes it fell like you are playing a classic amp).
You would be hard pressed to find a better amp in this price range and I would dare say there aren't many better in the next tier up price range.
Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 112 1x12 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:
I am so glad I bought this amp. Everything about it is perfect. No rattles, no channels going out like some reviewers posted. I smile every time I play through this amp. I get awesome rock sounds at bedroom levels and, when I crank it, it sounds even more awesome. People that say they have trouble taming the volume for their bedroom/apartment just need some touch, 'cause, apparently, they don't have any. It's so easy to get a great sound at any volume with this amp.
I've owned a Soldano Astroverb, a Soldano Hot Rod, a Tiny Terror and a Krank Rev Pro jr. (among others) and this things blows 'em all out of the water tone-wise. Those who say it doesn't have enough gain also seemed to lack the brains to get a good overdrive pedal to push it a little. It's like adding a third channel. And makes it sound like Zakk Wylde if you want. This thing is everything I ever wanted in an amp. So glad I bought the Rebel.
Maybe it could have more features but it's so perfect in that it has just the right amount.
So far so good. No problems like others have described. Going on 6 months and couldn't be happier.
I got a great deal. This thing makes me so much happier than the Soldanos and Krank I was playing through. It's so warm. It really is a joy to play through.
