Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
The Small Clone was/is a classic chorus pedal that has stood the test of time with its unique metallic lushness that has graced so many records. I have a Small Clone and love it. When I decided on a whim to buy this to see if I could free up some space on my pedal board, it went right back out into the great used market in the sky.
The metallic sound is there, but that's all you get. A metallic shimmer. There is no lushness to be found here and the Rate knob goes from subtle, to moderately subtle, to still moderately subtle, then to crazy within an inch of turning.
If you are considering cutting costs or pedal board space and want the sound of the Small Clone, look elsewhere - this does a really poor job at holding up the "Clone" name.

Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
I bought this pedal because I was in a jam for an affordable and available pedal in my area. I have used this pedal for several shows... If using on your clean channel to brighten up your tone on a constant basis then this pedal is great (must have a noise suppressor or gate after), The pedal does loose signal when passing through this pedals circuitry. I used it to give body to my clean channel and used an MXR Smartgate to remove the hiss. I wouldn't recommend this pedal for using as a on/off chorus due to signal loss but for $[$] new what more do you want?
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
I compared it to a DeltaLab SC-1 (which is inexpensive as well) and it was miles better. I wanted a smaller-size pedal, which is why I bought the nano in the first place. Big mistake.
I sometimes buy an inexpensive item thinking that I'll be OK with something less-than-Cadillac and many times I'm elated, but this was a dud, period. Following my dead-end email dialog with the EHX tech support guy, that's the last time I'll buy EHX and I'll certainly share my experience with my pro player friends and students.
Features are basic, but not really an issue for me
CRAP, Utter crap. I contacted EHX and the guy basically told me that it is supposed to sound thin, tinny and with exaggerated feedback much like a flanger. He suggested I get one of the more expensive models.
No value, since I will sell this off for a basement-bargain price with a guilty conscience or use it as a paper weight.
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
I don't like to bash gear. I don't make it a habit. They really shouldn't sell these anymore. There is a reason that EH has come out with a new version of a Nano Clone (Neo Clone) with the same features as the original clone. I think the reason is they've realized that they messed up with this one. I didn't even buy it from MF, I just want to warn people from buying this. I really wanted to like it. It's simple and easy to use, and it's made by a company I like. The actual chorus sound isn't THAT bad, but there is far too noticeable of a volume drop when engaged. There is also a huge pop when engaged. It's also noisier than any pedal should be. I don't see how a guitarist can use one of these practically. I was fed up with it so I gave it to a friend and he uses it to make weird noises on his synth.
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
This is quite possibly the worst pedal ever made. First of all, you cannot daisy chain this pedal. When you engage the pedal it usually makes a loud popping noise and is followed by a substantial drop in volume. The effect is NOISY and it sounds thin and unpleasant. TERRIBLE PEDAL!!Electro Harmonix should have some integrity and recall this garbage!
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
i ordered one off of this website as a quick fix for my amp. the chorus effect on my amp broke so went and got a chorus box. it has a decent sound, kinda treblely cuts bass a lil bit. good range of speed on the rate knob, metal casing is the best part.the chorus is compressed a bit....and it distorts if you play too hard. this pedal needs more volume and a depth knob like its big bro the small clone.... i would recommend this pedal for classic players or beginners.
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
Did not purchase the pedal through musicians friend, but as other reviews wrote if you are looking for a good quality pedal this is not the one you want. Too much of a volume drop - a lot of noise and being an engineer I wouldn't recommend this to anyone other than a beginner - it's not a pedal I would use live unless they came out with a mod to improve it. I don't hate it but not impressed or satisfied. I should have saved my money for a better pedal.
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
The nano clone may have some useful applications, but I have yet to find one. The main problem with this pedal is the way it sucks the life out of your tone(especially when used with any kind of distortion), and the fact that it runs on a reverse polarity so it can't be daisy chained doesn't help either
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
I checked one of these out as soon as they were released. I'd been looking for a really solid, small MXR sized all metal chorus stomp box for ages. There really aren't any apart from this one.Unfortunately, this thing is horrible! noisy, muffled, ungrounded and with a swishing noise too. It's a shame, because beneath this blanket of noise is an OK chorus sound (I think?)
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
This pedal sucks. It usually makes the loud popping sound when you turn it on. THIS PEDAL HISSES SO BAD. Don't even think about using it with distortion not even an NS-2 will quiet it up and that thing can silence a lot. It doesn't even come close to the Small Clone in tone either.
