A compact cab with Celestion Vintage 30 speaker.
The Engl PRO Straight E112V 1x12 Vertical Guitar Speaker Cabinet 60W offers warm and full midrange tone with tight bass and silken treble response. It features a Celestion V 30 speaker. The cab is well-finished and constructed of 14-fold Siberian birch for durability and excellent resonance. German amp maker Engl continues to convert great guitarists over to their side, including Toni Iommi of Black Sabbath and Ron Thal of Guns n' Roses. Engl amps and cabs deliver great tone and durability at prices gigging musicians can afford.
Celestion Vintage 30
The Vintage 30 features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. Used singly to reveal the complexities in hand-wired boutique amps, or in quartets for a wonderfully intricate vintage 3D crunch, the Vintage 30 sound has been captured on thousands of recordings from a diverse range of notable players including Slash, Steve Stevens and Peter Frampton.

Comments about Engl PRO Straight E112V 1x12 Vertical Guitar Speaker Cabinet 60W:
I've stood by ENGL from their inception in 1984. This particular cabinet is rock solid with its Siberian birch folded layers. Built like a tank. The V-30 Celestian speaker is all of a vintage-tone speaker in that the brights are true, the mids come nicely but don't expect it to be much of s low-end cabinet in terms of bass tone. It can be a tad bright but that's what it's supposed to be. The closed back design does offer some advantages for tones but maybe the next version can have a semi-closed back which would be good for a mic back there as well as a mic in the front for studio recording or live applications.
The grill in front is solid and durable. The input jacks are 8ohm with a thru jack for connecting to other cabs. It would be nice to have an optional 16ohm jack as well. The price is relatively high but you are paying for a top-quality hand wired cabinet. Overall to my ear it reminds me of the vintage Marshall cabs I have from the early to mid-70's, it certainly is a splendid cabinet and one that gets many compliments. Rock solid cabinet that IMO is in the top 3 cabinets made for classic rock or heavier rock. Awesome tone.....
