Comments about EVH 5150 III 112 Mini Stack:
Great amp with many tone possabilties.
The shared EQ on 1 & 2 is not the best.
This amp is killer! If you want to play rock, metal or even some dirty blues, this amp delivers.
Channel 1 is good and can get very dirty when the gain is turned up. The shared Eq with 1&2 isn't so great, but the tone on channel 2 is absolutly stunning to hear. It has a very nice Marshall quality, but can go far beyond that. Channel 3 sounds like a Soldano, but is a little noisey. If you want to play rcok you don't need much gain to get Channels 2 & 3 roaring. A PAF sounds very nice for rock on this amp.
The 1x12 cab sounds great with this head. You can get the volume up without having the neighbors going crazy. Yeah, it's still really loud, but not ear bleedingly loud. I had Channel 2 at 11 o'clock early this morning and didn't hear any complaints from the other people who live in my apartment building. The headphone option is nice, too. Get a quality pair of phones and this is good for latenight practice.
Seems like quality work, time will tell. It was packaged well and a knobs were turned to zero/switchs in correct positon.
It's made in Vietnam, so that's a little disapponting, but I'm happy with it.
The price is good, but not great. The tone makes up for that.
