2 people out of 2 found this review helpful

Features:

It has a good clean tone, reverb, and drive but there arent any other effects

(so i suggest getting this amp with a disortion pedal)

Quality:

I've never had any problems with it, i use it for band practice and u can hear the guitar over the amp with the drive volume on 3....iv'e never had to go over 5 on the drive volume

Value:

for its price this is a great deal

Overall:

good amp especially for anyone starting a band

Piece of junk

| Review By: David Essary | 3 weeks, 9 hours ago

1 people out of 3 found this review helpful

Features:

I can't believe I waited 6 weeks for this piece of junk to come in.  In the clean channel it starts breaking up on about 1 1/2 on the volume.  The gain channel is decent but sounds a lot like the normal channel and mine sounds like something amiss electronically.  Not worth even a practice amp.  Garbage.

Quality:

Really pretty.  Bad electronics and speaker.

Value:

Not worth 2 cents to me

Overall:

Really pretty amp, too bad it;s such a crappy one.

Nice clean and gain channels. Does exactly what it's supposed to do...ROCK!

Quality:

Great fender quality.

Value:

Best option at this price point.

Overall:

Great amp and really sizzles now that I have a tubescreamer (ts9) in the chain. Would definitely buy again. Excellent for a home studio too.

Awesome Practice Amp!

| Review By: Tony Van | 1 month, 1 week ago

Features:

Features? Great EQ section. The reverb's alright; when past 5 tone gets muddy, notes become unclear. Awesome clean channel. The gain channel isn't so great, I just hate the tone of it and its breakup. I rate this a nine only because of the reverb, I also disregarded the gain channel since I never rely on any amp's gain channel. A rating of  7 including the gain.

Quality:

Pretty sturdy amp. Sound quality of the clean channel is great, very pedal-friendly. I run an Epiphone Les Paul if anyone is wondering. the amp leans a tad bit on the abssy side but i'm perfectly fine with it. Bad gain channel. The speaker is gonna be bad if you are going to crank it to 10.  I'd recommend you change it out to something from Eminence.

Value:

GREAT value. I got this amp with a 20% off coupon, but i'd still buy this at full price. I'd even buy the Frontman 212R, but i don't need anything that loud.

Overall:

Even though I rated this amp 8 on quality and 9 on features, I'd rate this a 10 overall. Why? Because it works for me. I use an amp's gain channel. I never turn on the reverb too much on any amp. I only use amp for practice in a small bedroom (at volume 1.5) and small sets at church (in a trailer-sized room at volume 7). This amp does what I need it to do. I'd recommend this amp to beginning guitarists or guitarists on a tight budget (like me; I use an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Classic, Zoom g2.1u, this amp, and occasionally my church's GC50A; pretty awesome set up if you're a person with time to sit down and dial in tones; I'm a VERY picky guy when it comes to tone)

I bought this amp about a year ago. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I'm not able to carry a large amp due to back problems so this one is just the right size for me. I ordered a foot switch for it so that should be a plus. So if you're looking for a small light amp for a small venue this one will do the job. It's also very loud if you need it to be. I highly recommend this amp.
