My expensive guitars are in the case. My 50W and 15W amps have a cover. My pedalboard has 13 pedals and is also covered. As you can see, it takes me some time to set everything up before start playing. I decided to buy a cheap guitar and a mini amp that I can leave on the floor or couch, already plugged in, so I can just grab the guitar, turn the amp on and practice for a few minutes everyday.
I ended up buying the Fender package that includes a Squier strat, the Frontman 10G, a clip-on tuner, etc., for only Cdn199. I don't care if they get dust, snow, rain, hurricane..... I now practice everyday.
This amp has a nice clean sound and it is quite loud for its size. It can fit under the bed! The overdrive is ok for a practice amp. It has a 6" speaker in a small enclosure, so do not expect big sounds, obviously. Recommended for bedroom or small studio. Once again, this is a practice amp with a nice Fender sound. Good tool if you play on the streets (I don't). Actually, with the package, it costs less than a mini amp and sounds ten times better.
I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years, so I do appreciate good equipment. You have to be realistic. If you want pro sound, get pro equipment and be prepared to pay for it. This is a good amp for the size and price.

I bought this to replace a Vox AC30 headphone amp that broke the 1st time I dropped the little blighter.. I just cannot get over the noise from my Frontman 10G which I use in my NYC apartment... the problem may be all the transient noise from other electronics but the only way I get a semi usable sound is on clean with my Boss DS-1 in front

The overdrive is woeful but I suppose for the low price paid and its real use this is more than adequate to practice with... I'll be bringing my Mustang II back to use in my apartment and get a Mustang V for the country and this thing will be banished to my closet..

The Mustang II is brilliant BTW

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

Our worship leader in church was using a direct line and I suggested a miked amp would be better for a solid body guitar. It gave him control on the platform while overall volume was in the P.A. system...worked our well.

I ordered this to replace my VOX headphone "amp" for private listening. Holy Smokes!! This little giant ROCKS!! I am NOT joking here. Nice clear tones and add the crunch of the "gain" control and you will be looking around for the 2x12 amp behind the couch. OK,OK it is not a Fender Twin - but a real surprise in quality. Your upstairs neighbors will still be pounding on the floor - I promise!! I nice surprise. Also awesome with headphones - the reason I purchased this little giant in the first place.

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

I build reproductions of ancient harps, (Greek kitharas). I decided to amp them and chose the Fender Frontman 10G 10 W for its portability and functions that matched my needs. Harps do not have allot of volume of their own especially when played before a audience. This Fender Frontman is absolutely perfect does not only increase the volume but the sound quality as well. Thanks

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

i got this amp thrown in with a guitar purchase was shocked at the good quality . the clean sound is warm and fat not harsh attall and you press the little white button for overdrive ,which with the gain on full it can sound a bit raspy, but back it off and you get a nice overdrive which adds sustain , you just need to be subtle with it. the bass and treble controls really work effectively . and the simplicity of and ease of use is hard to beat. no reverb but in a way thats part of the charm of this amp . less is more. it looks fantastic as well classic fender look in a cute package, in no way did i expect it to be that good . i think people who are negative towards this amp are either daft kids who just want a metal sound or people who expect the earth , this amp costs just over forty quid , id mike it it up and gig with it , no problem . in fact it would be interesting to see what a quality overdrive pedal through the clean channel is like. did i mention the clean channel is fat and warm sounding . you could cuta jazz album with this thing .no kidding. its an amazing little amp ,that possibly gets overlooked as its seen as a kids toy or beginner amp . people rave about the blackstar fly that and many of the tiny amps like a plastic toy to me . this doesnt , try one you;ll be amazed ..i was.

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

A guitarist for over 30 years, I've owned many amps. For rock and metal, nothing beats a Marshall. Fender generally leans more towards satisfying clear projection objectives, say, jazz or acoustic-based music. But if one is looking for a good little amp for home use or band practice, this amp projects a decent, ringing tone, has enough features to modify that tone, produces decent gain for a heavier edge, and works well with all pedals. It is indeed a genuine amp. Keeping the amp sound clean and using a Boss distortion pedal lends to an even sharper metal sound, and additional tone modification. Whether a beginner or more experienced player, this amp will cover your modest objectives; 10 watts is louder than you'd think, and the tone of this Frontman isn't compromised by higher volume levels. It's a decent line of amps; I own a larger one as well. Your needs and goals, within boundaries, will not be compromised with this amp--whether they be acoustic, classic rock, jazz, recording, or elsewhere. It's a bargain buy. Save your Marshall for when you're playing the Garden.
