Look, I don't know where guys are getting all these power ratings 15, 20 or whatever. Mine came in and the amp itself says 25 watts. And a krankin' 25 watts it is. I plugged three different guitars into this and came up with a plethora of sounds. It's obviously a rock amp, with a name like Krank. It may seem like a one trick pony but I was able to coax a lot of sounds by using the sweep controls and a rear effects level control. There's an effects loop on the back with a level control that can also act as a boost. There is no reverb but a pedal will take care of that if you need it. I put a delay through it and chorus but I haven't quite figured out the proper setting. I will say that owners manual is very minimal. Just very basic info and their web site doesn't give much info either. I'm surprised because this thing is pretty cool. I'll figure it out. For some reason my speaker came with a black front instead of the chrome, but I'm keeping it, took almost two months to get it! When I get some extra cash I'm gonna get another speaker for the full stack. You know what though? These are rarely in stock so you better get one if they're available. I have 3 other tube amps that I own and like for different reasons(2 Fenders, Laney Lion heart) and I have to say this one is best for when I just wanna rock out. Sounds corny, but seriously... it does. I got mine on sale so that's why I thought it was a great value. I would buy it again.
I was at a local music store and I tried out this amp. I love the sound of this amp and it is only 15 watts but with the volume on one it is louder that my fender 15 watt g-dec on one. A great price for a tube amp!
The features are verry few but it does make a good recording amplifire. The quality of this amp is incredible and will last you a long time but it is a little on the pricy side, overall this is a great amplifire.
The Krank Rev Jr. is an amazing amp that has true power it has very high quality hardware. It sounds so amazing almost identical to its big brother without the loudness. The gain is incredible the leads sound searing just an amazing amp for those where size is an issue. You can play anything with it and the features are amazing for the price a very heavy sounding amp
I had been needing a new amp for a while, and I didn't think I was going to find what I wanted for anything less than a grand, considering my laundry list of wants: low-to-moderate power, high-quality construction, all-tube, fantastic gain (since I like to be able to plug straight into the amp and not require effects for great tone), fantastic tone at nearly all volume levels, and an active effects loop. When all those features meet, they tend to command a high price tag. The Krank Rev Jr. more than delivers the goods at a very reasonable price. Everyone who plays this baby at my place loves it, and I can't get enough of it. It's built sturdy, and the tone is to-die-for. You can get some pretty sick distortion just by cranking up the overdrive. I have to say that this is among the best tube amps in its price range.
