I basically just wanted to be able to switch between the 4 channel banks on my new Line6 Spyder IV 75w combo amp. And, this footswitch is the perfect companion. When I was at Guitar Center buying the amp, they tried to turn me towards a $300 Line6 pedal board and said that there is no "basic" footswitch. (?) Anyways. I'm happy to have found this on Line6's web site and then on Muscians Friend. It does exactly what I need to switch between clean and dirty channels that I saved.
Plugs right into the back of the Line6 Spyder IV via enclosed ethernet cable. Channel switching is a breeze now, and I can easily toggle left or right (dirty or clean) between the 4 channel banks I saved my tones in.
Good quality. Solid, sturdy feel. I just couldn't find the serial number and couldn't register the product because of this.
This price for a basic 2 channel footswitch is a great deal.

I bought the FBV2 footswitch along with my Line 6 spider IV 120 and i'm not impressed at all but you get what you pay for i guess. The absolute only thing it does is scroll thru the pre-set effects that comes on the amp. and thats not something that can really be used even in practice because you have to go thru them all to get to the one you want and we all know that just wont cut it. Unless your a kid that just thinks its cool to have a bunch of effects that wants to bragg to your friends about how many effects you have but dont have a clue on how to play yet then i say dont waiste your money. I had to go back and buy the FBV express MKII and it works for me but if you normally use more than 4 effects then you should buy the FBV shortboard MKII so that you have it all on demand. I will probably buy it eventually also.

Comments about Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch:
I got this a couple years ago for my Line 6 Spider 3 30 watt and it gets the job done. The only problem I have is there are 4 channels on a Line 6 Spider 3 amp, so why not have a footswitch with four buttons. Since I only use clean and insane, it's a pain to have to cycle around the two useless channels. I have to hit the right button to get to clean and the left to get to insane. Other than that, this pedal is built to last. It's made of some heavy duty metal with some nice padding on the bottom so it doesn't slip around. One other thing that kinda makes me mad about this switch, it will only work on Line 6 amps. Line 6 needs to make their future amps with a separate 1/4th inch port that can handle almost any footswitch.
Comments about Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch:
It works for switching through channels when you are just playing by yourself. When you are trying to play a lead riff and change from clean and distortion it becomes difficult especially if you go the wrong direction through your channels, I've done it many times... If you play live shows... upgrade to the footswitch that has the channels laid out and the wah/volume control. If you just play guitar for fun it is a very good buy.

I bought this footswitch for my Line 6 spider 3 15 watt amp. Even though in the product description it says this footswitch will work with the "Spider 3" series, it will NOT work with the 15. It seems of good quality, however, so I am sure it will work great if you amp supports it.

I bought this footswitch a couple of weeks ago and it works great. Before I would have to stop playing and go press a button and guess what, now I dont! I was tight on cash so I got the 2 button one if I had more I would of bought the 4 button footswitch. Best thing was it came in 2 days and with a 30 foot cord.
Comments about Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch:
This small pedal, is pretty cool.I'd say entry level players should get this!I have it and I've been playing for about 3 years. It's pretty hardcore, I haven't really dropped it yet so I can't tell you it will last if you do that. It's really good for what it does.
Comments about Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch:
This footswitch is a must have if you own any of the Spider II series amps. I have a 75 version and it works great. Immediately when you activate the switch, the setting changes instantly. Using this footswitch eliminates the need for pedals for the Spider II does the rest.
Comments about Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch:
This is a great footswitch for the money. Our band went in to record a demo of one of our songs, and my friend (The guy who recorded us)let me use it. It's great for diverse songs during either recording OR live performances. Of course, like about every other reviewer on this thing wishes that you could go from Channel A to Channel C in one touch, but buy the 4 button one for that. That's the only reason I gave features an "8". Otherwise, great for the money, and it does its job.
