The size & weight of this cab is a solo job, easy on the road crew. I run Marshall 6100 30th aniversary 100w head X 2 left & right stage in stereo with these cabs, left original speakers,& put rig in custom built road cases, even with the head weight still easy on the road crew, by the way after hearing my rig set up, every one wants one. You can also hook these cabs up to JCM's2000 100w combo & even a vs265 for an incredible bass heavy addition to tone. You will feel it in the gut not in your ears. Buy the cab & or cabs. ROCK ON PEOPLE.

I do love this cab but keep in mind it was intended as a combo extension cab, and not really for 100 watt heads, although it can certainly handle that load. The stock speakers don't have the most desireable tone out there so i would definitely consider loading them with Vintage 30s or Greenbacks. Definitely not as cumbersome or heavy as a 4 X 12 but not a walk in the park either. Still easily manageable with a one man lift. True Marshall look with the white piping and side reinforecments. In a live setting, i would recommend putting it on top of a road case to project a little better, plus it looks cooler that way. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a 2 X 12 but you are going to want to replace those speakers depending upon your style of music.
Loaded with Celestion G12T 75 12" speakers at 8 or 16 ohms, 150 watts. Rock solid cabinet with caster sockets and heavy duty side handles. White piping
Rock solid
That price seems pretty steep but you are paying for a true Marshall cabinet

So much better than a 4x12!

By Andrew Hutchison

from Edmond, OK

Comments about Marshall 1936 2x12 Cabinet:

Could not recommend this cabinet more highly for any style of music.
I tried plugging my Marshall 9200 head into a friend's 1960 full stack, and it didn't sound as good as the 1936 pair. The tone is very punchy and powerful. Going through the 1960 stack, it wasn't as precise and lacked the headroom that these have. The bottom end is extraordinary, and usually overwhelmed the bass player's Marshall bass stack with an 18" bottom.
Very solidly constructed, amazing tone. Closed back makes it extremely punchy!
I bought mine in England 15 years ago, and the price was comparable. Wouldn't trade my pair of 1936's for a full stack.

the best!

By Bruce W. De Leon-0lHdt

Comments about Marshall 1936 2x12 Cabinet:

this one steals the cake! in the 80s i used 4x12 or a full stack. times has changed and space is important. less to drag around and awesome on the ears. this cab does the trick and more. i drive my mk II jmp lead 50 watt head thru this and it sounds great. enough speakers to drive my head the way i need it to. people are shocked to hear my tone coming thru this which is a simple DS 1 or MXR + with a tad of reverb for wetness. i love this and recommend it to players who had the 80s and now do the 21st century. depend on talent not overpowering volume unless on tour. this makes your tone better and shows how you matured.

Good 2X12 Cab indeed

By Redtabby

from Reno, NV

Comments about Marshall 1936 2x12 Cabinet:

Great cab...I have it paired up with a JVM205H and it sounds good. The speakers still need some break in time but they sound good so far and will get better with time. This cab os perfect for those of us who have no need or use for a heavy 4X12. Though I may swap the speakers for some Eminence Man o Wars in the future like my friend did.

Nice 2X12 Cab

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Marshall 1936 2x12 Cabinet:

I own two 1960A Marshall cabs. The great thing about this 1936 cab is it's sound. It sounds just like the 1960A on steriods. Nices low and tight crunches. No regrets. And yes it looks like a mini me Marshall quarter stack.

Its a Marshall

By Dustin W

Comments about Marshall 1936 2x12 Cabinet:

Bought this product about two years ago. 1936 A Lead. I run it through a 50 watt Marshall valvestate combo amp. The one twelve just didnt have the kick i wanted and the 4x12 was to large for my music room. This thing is perfect you can get a good sound out of it whether you have pushed your amp to 11 or just want to record something without your neighbors hating you. I also run my boss pedal board through it and let me say i cant complain. I have even played my Martin D-35 through it and it sounded great. Very versitile and compact. If you dont like this than you had better fork over a couple of grand and go with some of Marshalls 4X12 COMBOS. This amp is worthy of any Guitar Player. Let any Guitar God Plug in and they would say the same. There isnt any sound you cant get out of this cab. Try switching heads if your not happy.

Great for some Old tube awesomeness

By Abubacar

from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about Marshall 1936 2x12 Cabinet:

I just got me a used one of these from GC, and it sounds awesome. I am running an old Silvertone 1483 through it and i found the perfect sound i have been searching for. Ran an MG head through it at the store (solid state) and it too sounded good. Im not sure what everyone was talking about with the quality, mine seems sturdy and even has a few dents in it (shows it can take abuse). I gave it a 4.5 for value because i feel its normal price is a bit on the high end, but deals can be found! If you want volume, this thing can do it. With a high power handling this should be able to whatever you throw at it, and it seemed to make my 25 watt tube amp very loud indeed. If you want a good 2x12 to help save some space or just prefer a 2x12 to a 4x12, get this bad boy.

Great Cab!

By G0C

from New Orleans, LA

Comments about Marshall 1936 2x12 Cabinet:

I have had this cab for years now... it has been with me around the world... small gig, large gig, studio ... it never disappoints. It gets a very classic Marshall tone! I love pushing the cab with an Orange head (for crunch) while running a Vox ac30... they really offset each other and sound amazing... Basically, I do not understand all these negative reviews... I mean, the stero isn't that great ( hence the 4.0 features rating) but the mono is beastly... you just have to learn how to get the best sound out of your equipment.
