OVERVIEW

Six distinct high-end reverb styles.

The MXR Reverb delivers six distinct high end reverb styles, each exquisitely crafted and tuned by the award-winning MXR design team. It all comes in a standard-sized MXR box with a simple three-knob setup and a hi-fi analog dry path with a massive 20 volts of headroom thanks to Constant Headroom Technology. Each reverb style is as richly detailed as any found in the highest-end rack units and plug-ins, and all you have to do to step through them is push the Tone knob.

The PLATE setting provides a shimmering smooth wash of space that’s a go-to choice from the studio recording world. SPRING sets a new standard for truly authentic sounding reverb without coiled metal—a perfect recreation of the classic amp-based effect, with the Tone control taking you from dark vintage amp spring, through classic jangle, to bright surfy splatter. EPIC is a unique combination of multiple interwoven analog-tone delay lines and complex modulation—perfect for solos from that hidden part of the lunar landscape. MOD throws down a plate-flavored spaciousness with richly organic modulation in the feedback path. The ROOM style adds subtle body and projection to your guitar tone at shorter decay times while longer decay times yield rich organic space that doesn’t wash out. PAD closes out the line-up with a unique combination of sub-octave + octave-up with echoes + "shimmer" + synth/organ modulation + reverb.

Connect a Dunlop DVP series volume/expression pedal to the expression jack to toggle and blend between two different knob setting configurations. The Reverb includes 100% wet mode, stereo input and output capability, and true relay or trails bypass.

Comments about MXR M300 Digital Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

I got my MXR M300 in the middle of May 2016. I wanted to wait with a review in order to really have some experiences with the pedal. At the beginning, I was missing something in the sound. It was not much – just a little something I wanted to be in the sound that was not there. Not much after that I got voodoo lab pedal power and … the M300 did not work with it on input 1, 2, and 3. I emailed the voodoo lab support (nice guys indeed) and a tech told me to plug it into input 5 or 6 explaining that M300 needs a bit more juice. I did that and – I couldn't believe it. The M300 not only worked but gave me that something I wanted to hear. I love the pedal. It complements my other pedals and all my guitars superbly. It is very versatile and friendly to operate.

Comments about MXR M300 Digital Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

Wow...this pedal is great. If you really wanna know what this pedal will sound like and act like just watch the video. It sounds exactly the same in person as it does in the video. Right out of the box, set the knobs at noon and the pedal will sound great. Start messing with the knobs and the possibilities become almost endless. I've only played around with this for a few hours, haven't gigged with it yet, but already it's my favorite pedal I've ever owned. Also, it COMES WITH a power chord. Nice little touch I thought. If you are wondering, I'm playing this through a Les Paul and a Peavy JSX amp. I have no other pedal on it right now, other than a Moore compression pedal. It sounds great all by itself too. Highly...highly recommended.

Comments about MXR M300 Digital Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

First of all, I love all of the mxr pedals I own. When I got the m300, I set it up on my board using the daisy chain power supply that I use with all of my other pedals. Unbearable whine! My heart sunk, I had been waiting to buy this pedal for months. Screw around, try in different positions in the chain, same noise. Prepare myself to do the unthinkable and return it. Oh wait, it came with its own 9 volt power supply (I didn't even realize that it would be included). Use it and now crystal clear sound coming through! Awesome! A little bummed that I now have one less usable plug on my board, but not a deal breaker. With so many settings and three knobs to tweak the sound, I am still experimenting with what this pedal is capable of. This is the first reverb pedal I have owned, so the only thing I can compare it to are the reverb settings on my amps ( a modified fender champ 100, a modified 12" roland cube, and matchless clubman 35 paired with esd 212) and I can say that it blows the amp reverb out of the water. I have not used the stereo out on the m300, but when I run it through the stereo out from my chorus pedal, it sounds incredibly full, great effect. Played for around 6 hours and still haven't come close to finding out about all of the sounds that this pedal can make. I highly recommend this reverb pedal, but if you experience noise, make sure to use the included power supply.

Comments about MXR M300 Digital Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

I sold my H9's and have been completely happy with the sound and simplicity of the MXR M300. Not only are there 6 different types of reverb, but the Decay, Mix, and Tone knobs dramatically change how they sound, so you could get drastically different "versions" of each type just by changing the levels of those knobs.

My favorite things about the M300 are the way it sits with your signal and how long the reverb tails are. There is something about the tone of the tails that sits just right with your guitar signal ... it doesn't get in the way, but adds the right amount of space. Other reverbs can sound really muddy if you crank it. So there is something about the EQ, or fidelity of the effect that is magical. The tails are also very long. Earlier reverbs had to be shorter because of noise, processing power, or lack of fidelity. With the MXR you will get long, long reverbs which is the whole point of having a dedicated pedal, in my opinion.

Some of the modes are a little too effected to use as an "always on" type thing but if you dial it back with the Mix, it could work well. It's a little annoying that you have to use a TRS cable for the stereo ins and outs. It would be fine if every amp and pedal did the same but the guitar world is all TS jacks, so that means you need to spend extra on quality insert cables, Y splitters, or make your own.

It's compact, has very long decay times, and you can get many more sounds out of it than just the 6 modes would suggest.

Comments about MXR M300 Digital Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

This reverb sounds excellent! There is something about MXR pedals, well the two I have, that add this sparkle to the signal. The only downside is there is no hall option, but with the six available options it is not missed.
