OVERVIEW

Refine your sound with this road-ready six-band EQ.

The MXR Six Band EQ has been upgraded with noise-reduction circuitry, true bypass switching, brighter LEDs for increased visibility, and a lightweight aluminum housing. It covers all the essential guitar frequencies, with each slider ready to deliver +/-18dB of cut or boost for incredible control over your sound. The Six Band EQ can create scooped-mid rhythm tones with massive low end, add natural sounding warmth to a quacky acoustic pickup, eliminate onstage feed-back, and much more. You can also use the Six Band EQ in the effects loop of your amp for a huge, sculptable lead boost.

FEATURES
  • Cut or boost six different frequencies up to ±12dB

Comments about MXR Six Band EQ Pedal:

I use this pedal with an Orange TH100 head into an Avatar 212 with Creambacks and a Marshall DSL Combo with Creambacks. It stays on all the time. It greatly improves the clarity with the gain cranked and you can dial in the clean tone you want as well. Set it and forget on the dirt channel. Don't ever take it off your pedalboard. It's my opinion view that even if you already love your tube amp(s) - and I love mine - then this pedal is pure icing on the cake.

    Excellent 6 Band EQ!

Comments about MXR Six Band EQ Pedal:

I bought this because I thought my Peavey Tube was to mid sounding. Once I plugged in the MXR EQ it completely woke up the amp. It sounds like a tube amp of twice the price. Sounds better than I expected.

Comments about MXR Six Band EQ Pedal:

well let me first explain you why just 3 stars on a product that has a reasonably good price, nice quality build and sounds great at what it does, well the thing is that i own the previous version of the MXR 10 eq (the black one) and i love it but the unit itself makes a lot of noise, so i read that the new mxr eqs come with a noise reduction system, well let me tell you that this little fella is nowhere near quiet, in fact i compared side by side the two of them and the newer versions make more noise (hum). other than that, i believe an eq is a must have in your rig, even if you have expensive amps and guitars (especially if you have really nice stuff) because this thing will make you sound even better. i keep this on as this eq has become part of my tone but its far from being a quiet pedal. maybe 3 stars is harsh but mxr should not advertise what is obviously a lie. In a completely different thought, if you are trying to make your mind between the 10 eq vs the 6 eq i can assure you that you can dial the same sound on both, the only big difference is that the 10 band eq has a volume output wich i use alot, it really comes in handy but other than that both units are great.
