I love the sound of this amp.  It's very simple to use.  I had an effects loop put into mine, but it only effects the fat channel.  It has very good clean and distortion tones.  I wish it had a solo boost, then it would be perfect.

I purchased this amp a while ago, and I wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review (reviews seem pointless when the owner just got it last night.) This is an amazing amp- for anyone worried about it being loud enough- don?t worry.  On 7 watt mode, it has more than enough power to keep up with a drummer- with 30 watts you get a lot more headroom for clean tones. What I love about this amp is that all the sounds you can get with it are usable. The small size is great- and the carrying bag is very convenient. When everything is turned all the way up, it sounds like a cross between Hendrix and early Zeppelin (live, of course). I have this running through one of Orange?s 2x12 cab (the open back). If you are a great player, you will dominate with this amp. If you aren?t, don?t get this amp because you won?t sound good. I only have one beefs with this amp. The first one is the lack of an fx loop. This amp sounds amazing with nothing in between it and the guitar except for a cable- but having the option to use reverb or delay would make this amp another notch up.  The lack of the 3 band eq replaced with one tone knob isn?t an issue- when you crank it all the way up (as it should be) you can control all the needed tones and timbres with your guitar. If you wanted an fx loop and a 3 band eq, get the TH30H . It has all that. Overall, definitely a pro sounding amp.

I needed an amp that I could rock in the bedroom with the same sound I had on stage. Hard to do when you've got a 50W head you can't turn past 1 without pissing the neighbors off! But with the dual terror you have the option of running 2 or 4 EL84s at full or half power. This allows you to run your amp at 7, 15, or 30 watts. Like the extra 15 watts, adding a 2nd channel was another welcome upgrade to the Tiny Terror. The Fat Channel is like the original Tiny Terror on steroids. It has very thick tone with tons of available gain and wonderful sustain. I use it as dirty channel, because it sounds much better than the Tiny Terror with the gain cranked. But don't think that the Tiny Terror channel is useless. The Tiny Terror has an unexpectedly crisp clean tone that I'm personally in love with! I've heard a lot of people complain about the lack of clean headroom, but I couldn't disagree more. Yet, it can be tough to dial in with only one tone knob. I like the gain at 12 o'clock just before the point of breakup and the tone at 2 o'clock on the neck pickup of my Melody Maker. It give's it a nice bell-like warm sound. If you are thinking about getting a Tiny Terror, I would definitely recommend saving up to buy it's big brother

I originally wanted a Tiny Terror, then they came out w/ the Dual Terror. I purchased the DT due to 30 watts and two switchable dirt channels. My reasoning being that I could play rhythm on one channel and set the volume slightly louder on the second for a volume increase during solos (a much requested feature that Orange refuses to add, c'mon guys, listen to the consumer!). Only problem is, the 'Fat' channel sound so much better than the Tiny Terror channel (which sounds great) that I never want to switch. Overall, a very cool, useful little amp. Don't let the lack of reverb, fx loop, clean channel, controls cause you to underestimate this amp. It has everything you need to rock!

I agree with 'bob'. The amp reveals the clarity on how you play! The clean is very natural, and if you have an ear, you know you have to dial it in. The distortion; enough gain for metal (Children of Bodom, Pantera, ect.) I prefer the tone knob at about 9 o'clock. I would've rated the features better if there was a three band EQ, reverb and effects loop. Quality? It's a Rolls-Royce! I prefer saving a little more for this rather than Tiny Terror. It's a little more bang for your buck.
