Comments about Peavey Classic 50 50W 4x10 Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

I've owned many amps in my day and this amp is by far the best most durable best sounding versatile amp I have owned. If your looking for an amp with modern and vintage sound that is built like a tank like the older tube amps then look no further.

Comments about Peavey Classic 50 50W 4x10 Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

What a surprise this amp is! Sounds every bit as good as the best clean amp ever produced, The F*nder Super Reverb, but actually has a little extra warmth. This is a durable, extremely well made amp with premium sound. I've owned them all including several V*ctoria amps and I know great sound when I hear it.

Comments about Peavey Classic 50 50W 4x10 Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

I got this in on Wednesday, took it to church, set it up and played through it that night. I am very pleased with the clean sound. I don't know much about dirty sound as I only play clean... But it seems like it's easy to get about any sound you want! That being said, you should probably invest in a hand truck or something if you will be moving it much as I think it weighs approximately 73 thousand pounds... Or at least 70 pounds.

Comments about Peavey Classic 50 50W 4x10 Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

This amp is easily up there with my Bassman and Blues DeVille 4x10s, with plenty of power and headroom baby. Good value due to lower price point. Built right, sounds warm and clear, but gets thick and growls too, nice wet reverb. I got a great condition level 1 - mint deal on this monster tweed tonal heavy hitter. This amp is great for country, blues, and classic rock. but depending on your pedals, anything perhaps? Wow, love it.

Comments about Peavey Classic 50 50W 4x10 Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

Peavey moved all their production to China in 2015. The build quality and sound did not suffer from the move. As many have noted, the clean channel is amazing and compares to a classic tweed Bassman. Getting a spring reverb and effects loop is a bonus. I don't care for the lead channel and will be using an overdrive pedal on the clean channel.

The unit I received did not have the Blue Marvel speakers but Celestion Ten-30's and contrary to the description, the included footswitch controls the lead channel and boost; not the reverb which requires an additional single switch. Personally not interested in turning off the reverb.

I wanted the Bassman LTD, but with a coupon and bonus points, this was a third of the cost and more amp.

Comments about Peavey Classic 50 50W 4x10 Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

Got mainly for harp-so I could hear myself--more headroom-- still playing with it using--- effects loop etc is new to me --so far way louder b4 feedback than my epi junior mic'd or blues junior mic'd--don't want to swap tubes cuz still under warranty and Im using for guitar as well
I have a mojo pad from "lone wolf pedals' which basically lowers the gain of incoming signal to amp---this allows more room to use eq on amp and turn amp up to 7=8 and or more to get amp working the way u want it too---its heavy--- but its also built weell

so far i dig it --[-Bassman is a little warmer but its 600-700 --more-- it has no reverb---has no leadchannel--no pre and post gain] for the money i got a lot more and im sure i can get eq for warmth after playing with amp eq and my eq pedal etc
im to old to worry about re-sale hope this helps

This is a powerful, versatile, and fairly economical combo amp. I'm very pleased with both the clean and overdriven sounds from this combo. It's large enough to be awkward to carry, but that's the case with every 4x10 combo I've ever played.
