This amp is ok... it's loud and heavy - but veterans of the game will notice that it's missing something. It's solid state, so it's reliable. I also own a Peavey 5150 II. The Peavey blows this amp away by far.
If you need power, heavy tone w/9 band EQ shaping, and digital effects - this the way to go. The distortion screams!
Meanest amp head on the planet, I've heard mesa boogie, marshall , soldano , el diablo , hughes and kettner. None compare to this monster I would recomend the use of a Hush Super C Guitar Noise Reducer with this and a Furman PQ-3B Parametric Equalizer , but i would use that with any rig.
im saving up for 1 of these killers amps the distortion is just what your looking for if your a metal lover. You really do get the Pantera sound out of the Warhead... IT ROCKS
Well, it is really great! I don't use the effects that much, but the distortion is really good and it has a nice, punchy, low-end which is something that you do not get in all amps. It is really good for what kind of music I play.
This amp has great clean tone, not bluesy like a tube amp, but it still sounds strong. The balls on this amp are huge when it's cranked up. The eq settings are very sensitive allowing for a truely custom crunch. The delay effects broke on my amp though, i don't know if that is common with the warhead or not, but it still rocks.
