OVERVIEW

Featuring 2 channels, 50 watts, and all-tube design—it's an American-made boutique Rivera amp for an affordable price.

Rivera's award-winning Clubster Royale combo amplifier has been warming the hearts of players around the world. Due to much demand, the company created the special Clubster Royale 112 50W 1x12 tube guitar combo amp. It features 2 discrete preamp channels powered by 3 - 12AX7 tubes, and now a tuned high-gain lead channel, an active effects, and a larger output transformer with an impedance selector. This 50-watt powerhouse of EL34 Tube tone will give you the chunky bottom end, clean rhythms, and sweet sustain and distortion to satisfy your musical desires.

The Rivera amp's high gain lead tones in Channel 1 are articulated with 3-band equalization, and a Pull for Boost switch gives you that extra gain to go from crunch to searing leads.

Channel 2 is a straightforward rhythm channel with 2-band equalization and a bright switch, voiced like the vintage blackface amps from 1965.

In addition, the Rivera tube amp features the rich and lush footswitchable Accutronics spring reverb to add depth and swell to your tone. Rivera's pioneered active effects loop with send and return level controls allow you to patch with perfect level matching any external signal effects processor chain. You can also switch channels and reverb with the included FS20 footswitch. The heavy-duty and oversized output transformer features low temperature running, super-tight bottom end, two speaker jacks, a lineout jack, and an impedance selector for easy and correct matching of external speaker enclosures.

Like all Rivera amplifiers, they are built with military and audiophile grade components, and lovingly handcrafted in Burbank, California.

The 1x12 version comes standard with a Celestion Seventy 80.

The Rivera Clubster Royale is a fabulous sounding and roadworthy workhorse for years of satisfying and dependable performance.

Comments about Rivera Clubster Royale 112 50W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

If you like Fender, you should get this. Change the speaker if it's too sterile (I thought so!). The dirty is kind of bassy, though clarity is far better than fender. This is what a Fender hotrod wishes or purports to be. It's all or not enough between the 2 gain settings. High gain is too much, and low gain is not enough. It blows the hotrods away, as it should at this price. High quality clean. One-trick pony for gain. Could work okay with a good pedal for gain, but for this price I expect amazing on both channels. Effects loop is great, and if you have a nice gain pedal, the clean is the best I have heard, aside from the lousy speaker choice, which can be rectified easy enough. I sent mine back. If you only play fender guitars or lotsa clean, this could be your ticket. Well built. Does not come with cover, and mine had no manual either.

Comments about Rivera Clubster Royale 112 50W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amp with the Celstion GT-75 upgrade. Its sounds great. The cleans are very good with a lot of headroom. The OD channel sounds good as well, but I found that it sounds best with the guitar plugged into the high input (even with high output humbuckers) and the boost switch engaged. I am not an over-the-top distortion type, either. The downside is that the amp has a hissing noise--even on the clean channel. A noise gate takes care of it, but it is annoying. I am going to switch out the tubes and re-bias it to see if that takes care of the problem.

    Clubster 45 royale

Comments about Rivera Clubster Royale 112 50W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is an awesome amp that has a ton of potential. I replace the celestion vintage30 for celestion alnico gold. IMO the Alnico gold made this already great amp the perfect amp to me. I also will trade out the preamp and output tubes in the next week or so with Tung-Sol el34's and 12ax7's... I would reccomend this amp to a friend and intend post how upgrades of speaker and tubes go.. IMO most factory produced amps are plagued with not having the best tubes and speakers right out of the box. This amp will sing like a Fender and Growl like a Marshall the best of both worlds. Sounds good with my Fender Cali Strat and Gibson Les Paul

Rivera Clubster Royale - A Hidden Gem

    By Roadapple

    from Salt Lake City, UT

Comments about Rivera Clubster Royale 112 50W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

This little tone monster is deceitfully small and innocuous looking. But buyer beware, once you plug it in, you have unleashed a beast of an amplifier. While not as versatile as some amps (Mesa Mark V or Lone Star Special) it does what it does with honors. Cleans that sparkle and shine. A crunch that is ballsy and full. Singing OD with great sustain. It does all of this and is also extremely quiet. Oh and did I mention that it's a LOUD 50 watts? To be honest though, I changed out the speaker on day #3 and it made all the difference in the world. Get it with the V30 upgrade and be happy! The Celestion 70/80 sounded tinny and weak, the OD was distorted (in a bad way). A Celestion G12-75 took care of the tone totally.
