I bought this pedal while searching for an unit that could pin the cream sound however what I got was a lot better. The sound is pure psychedelia and works great everything form Hendrix to zeppelin. The tone control functions as either a midrange boost or cut and can be used to tailor the overall fuzz character. The resonance knob is great if your a fan of the "speaker crumbling under the intense bass frequency sound." The attack control does exactly what voodoo lab says it does it takes the tone from smooth and balanced to sharp and in your face. Of course I'm a bit of a pessimist so here are the problems. The level control does not have enough gain so don't count on using it as a booster. Secondly unless your pumping a stack or a 2x12 with great low end response the resonance control might better be re-labled mud control. Thirdly screw on battery doors are a thing of the past. Even though I run external power I always like to make sure a battery is backing me up so that is kind of irritating if you can't find a Phillips. Lastly this isn't really a problem so much as a preference but you better have good technique if you are going to use this pedal- its very dynamic and has a lot of high end bight so don't count on it to cover up for bad picking because it doesn't. All in all great product.

it only works well when used to "bump" an already distorted signal...but, many other pedals can do that and cost much less...useless when used in the clean channel...when you roll back the pickup it has a LOT of noise...way too much...quite unlike a fuzzface which cleans up nicely with much less noise...

Comments about Voodoo Lab Superfuzz Pedal:
The Superfuzz has a very wide range of fuzz tones from thin to thick, warm to stinging, and plenty in between. Obviously, a humbucking guitar (Les Paul/335) will help get you the fuller tones, while a single coil (Strat)can help get you the more biting fuzz tones. Don't expect the really raspy "Spirit In the Sky" sounds, you'll need to spend ALOT more on a Tonebender type clone, but the Voodoo Lab Superfuzz can come close enough and can be used for alot more than one or two songs a gig.
Comments about Voodoo Lab Superfuzz Pedal:
Love all the tones in this pedal. Turn the resonance knob back for classic crazy fuzz tones, or turn it up for a tighter, more modern, rock sound. The attack knob is your gain, and there's TONS of gain in this pedal. Built tough with tons of tones.
Comments about Voodoo Lab Superfuzz Pedal:
I currently own a few distortion pedals, an old Tech 21 XXL ,a Fulltone GT-500 and numerous boost pedals but what I felt was lacking was a good fuzz pedal. Having used the EH Big Muff back in the early seventies I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for but I wanted something with a little more control. Enter the Superfuzz. I finally had an opportunity to crank it up and wow was I surprised. Not only could get a nasty spitting fuzz but I could also get that elusive Reverend Billy G. tone and feel. I'd recommend this pedal to anyone in a heartbeat.
Comments about Voodoo Lab Superfuzz Pedal:
I bought a fuzz pedal because I wanted something that really destroys your tone, like Stooges "No Fun" or even "Spirit in the sky". This is a good pedal, just not as FUZZY as I was searching for. I did not try one before ordering. I found other people online who had a hard time finding a new pedal that is extremely over-the-top fuzz tone, so I guess they are hard to come by.
Comments about Voodoo Lab Superfuzz Pedal:
This pedal is a key element to my tone, and I couldnt do w/out it! For chunkier riffs, I keep turn the resonance all the way up and the the tone knob at about 9-10 o'clock. For solos, I turn down the resonance to 10 o'clock and keep the tone knob straight up. This pedal does it all for me!
Comments about Voodoo Lab Superfuzz Pedal:
I am a tone chaser, I have searched high and low to find the perfect fuzz pedal dropping tons of cash on pedals that just ended up collecting dust. I am glad I gave this pedal a try the resonance control is the key to this effect! Go and grab one of these you won't regret it! I would not recommend this to a metal player cuz it won't give you that buzzsaw growl but it will give you a great blues/rock solo tone.......Do you like jimi?????
Comments about Voodoo Lab Superfuzz Pedal:
I received the Voodoo Lab Superfuzz several weeks ago, and after plugging in and clicking on, I can't seem to hit the switch a second time to turn it off. The fuzz sound is just classic. It's not as big or expansive sounding as my Little Big Muff, and when you crank up the Attack knob, it doesn't have the same distorted madness. But it has this classic sound (think 'Had to Cry Today', by Blind Faith) when you keep the Attack about 10 o'clock. And it just gets creamier when you turn up the Attack. The tone knob boosts the mids when you turn it up, but I tend to leave it at about 12 o'clock, or maybe just a little more to the right. I always leave the Resonance knob down all the way, but I like the sort of 'thinner' (not in a bad way) and overdriven sound.Overall, this is a great fuzz pedal. Not the same as my Little Big Muff, just a totally different sound.

It may be a tad pricy, but it's worth it. The 'Resonance' and 'Tone' controls control the bass and mids, which allows for tons of variety. The gain control can go from a slight overdrive to huge Big Muff-esque tone. It reacts very well to picking dynamics and your guitar volume. I'll definitely be picking one up in the near future.
