OVERVIEW

A headphone guitar amp that lets you get the sound you want fast.

Need a few minutes alone with your tone? Your amPlug is ready. Up all night working on ideas? Killing time on the tour bus? amPlug is there. Want to polish your solo before that big gig? Don't want to hear the other kids in study hall? amPlug is your answer. All-new analog modeling techniques endow amPlug with no-sacrifice sound satisfaction. Experience the modern high-gain tone - complete with Thick/Bright modes - of the VOX Night Train with the amPlug Night Train. A pair of AAA alkalines will keep you alone with your tone for up to twenty hours.

The amPlug Night Train perfectly simulates the high-gain sound of the compact VOX Night Train tube amp. Just as with the actual Night Train head, you can switch between the two preamp sounds. The BRIGHT position boosts the high-frequency range; the THICK position offers a chunkier, heavier sound. The emulated speaker cabinet circuit accurately recreates the sound of the Night Train amp being played through the matching V112NT single 12" Night Train speaker cabinet. As a finishing touch, the amPlug Night Train shares some of the cool looks of its namesake amplifier.

When you share living space with another non-musician adult (read: Working Wife); it's hard to balance the need to practice/learn with home peace and harmony! This little wonder took care of this. Yes, I could use my GT-100's head phone jack, but for learning quick riffs and licks used on many songs, this gem let's me hook up the song source (MP3 Player; laptop; home theater), guitar and head phones in seconds. Has clean and dirty settings. With a good pair (read: not expensive) of head phones, you get every nuance.

I'm lovin' it! And, my Wife still loves me!

Comments about Vox amPlug Night Train Guitar Headphone Amp:

Works great for practicing when you don't want to bother anybody like late at night. You can do the same thing with most amps and miniature amps but you'll need a chord and someplace to set it down. This just plugs into your guitar and you plug your headphones into it.

Comments about Vox amPlug Night Train Guitar Headphone Amp:

I bought this as a stupid deal of the day. I really got my money's worth. I was surprised at how light it was when I removed it from the packaging. Putting in the batteries doubled the weight. I have used it for a total of 8 hours and have been happy with it. I have a TASCAM CDGT-2 guitar trainer as well. The advantage to the night train is that it fits in your guitar case. If you want to hear your guitar with special effects without bringing the whole rig, I would go with the TASCAM trainer, but I prefer to use the night train.

Comments about Vox amPlug Night Train Guitar Headphone Amp:

Very convenient, easy to use. I only got this product for few days so cannot say how reliable it is; but so far I love it - strongly recommend to those who normally practice at late night like I do.
Of course you cannot compare the sound with high-end amps but with this size, this weight, especially this PRICE, really not bad.
