This little VOX amp is great for playing in the bedroom or hotel room if you are traveling. It has a very basic EQ with just Treble and Bass. It also sounds wonderful with modulation and delay pedals. Using an overdrive or distortion pedal is useless because this amp has no clean headroom since it's so small.

The other great feature of this practice amp is that you can plug directly into a mixer/PA or USB Audio Interface from the Headphone/Line in jack.

Some other people said its not usable in a band setting or a jam session. That is obvious because the amp is no bigger than a microwave but what you could do is mic it and send it straight to the PA or mixer.

The settings I use are Bass at 5:00 and Treble at 2:00-3:00.

Cool looking amp, but not really all that usable. The wattage is too low to play with anyone else(even when I changed the spkr to an 8", which fits, but just barely), and I have better practice options. I really do like the sound when the amp is dimed on the od channel, it really does bring to mind the Brian May sound (it doesn't replicate it, but it's reminscent of it). I leave it set up in my classroom at school where I teach the colonial era of American history and it (ye olde Union Jack) comes up often and I use it as a visual. Since I got it as a scratch and dent item, I don't regret the purchase one bit.

Comments about Vox Pathfinder 10 Limited Edition Union Jack Guitar Combo Amp:

Get this... did you know Brian May used a boosted 1 W amp to get his Vox tone.., and Vox sold out of the 6.5 inch speaker amp fast that was designed after his model, get a Vox clean or boost it and get Queen. Active tone makes for nice overdrive sounds. the Coolest looking amp under a bill.

Comments about Vox Pathfinder 10 Limited Edition Union Jack Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this on impulse because, well, it just LOOKS COOL. yes, its only a 6.5" speaker and only 10 watts, but fine for practise in your living room or a small jam with friends.
The Overdrive really warms up the tone. I could also see this amp being useful for recording if you want an amp the SOUNDS like a smaller amp.

Comments about Vox Pathfinder 10 Limited Edition Union Jack Guitar Combo Amp:

The Vox Pathfinder is awesome for what it is. It is small, light weight, and very simple to use. It has a clean and overdrive channel with gain, volume, bass, & trebble controls. It has a nice sounding Vox tone. It does well with effects pedals if you want to use them. I love the tones I am getting out of this thing.
It is a nice practice amp to mess around with when you do not feel like dragging out your bigger amps.
For the price you can't go wrong! It is a fun little amp!

Comments about Vox Pathfinder 10 Limited Edition Union Jack Guitar Combo Amp:

Clean channel sounded very nice but the OD channel was thin and muddy. I know it's a small speaker but that is exactly what it sounded like. I bought it because of the positive reviews but I can't agree with those. Very cool looking although the the flag face was mostly black (worn appearance I guess). I returned because I just didn't see myself ever using it because of the sound quality.

Comments about Vox Pathfinder 10 Limited Edition Union Jack Guitar Combo Amp:

This little amp goes from clean to saturated with the push of a button - which also increases the volume substantially since the gain is set quite high. Very impressive amp and it looks great too. Just about any sound you may like can be easily coaxed from it. Don't be put off by the wattage rating or speaker size - Vox built this one well, like most of the amps the make.

Comments about Vox Pathfinder 10 Limited Edition Union Jack Guitar Combo Amp:

I tried out the Pathfinder 10 at a local GC and was impressed by its sound for a little guy. Admittedly, I was initially drawn to the look of the grill cloth, but after playing through it for a few minutes I was digging the sound!
I ended up not buying it at GC because I didn't really NEED the amp.
Then, a week later I saw it in MF for a cheap clearance price and that totally justified my buying it; still don't need it, but just wanted it.
I already have 2 nice all-tube combo amps that I use for stage and studio chores, but this little guy is cool for a portable amp for taking to the office and small acoustic gigs.
The sound is what it is: solid state through a 6.5" speaker. Taken in that context, it sounds awesome. I do wish it had built-in verb, but I have pedals, so no big deal.
