Comments about ZT Lunchbox Junior Guitar Combo Amp:

I am a guitarist and teacher in Seattle. I walk to my studios on Capitol Hill, so I need a light amp with a good sound and a lot of power. This amp fits my compact/quality lifestyle perfectly. I am very happy with the style, sound and portability of this amp.

Comments about ZT Lunchbox Junior Guitar Combo Amp:

The Lunchbox JR looks absolutely beautiful. Metal grille, pretty knobs, pretty sparkly silver cabinet. ZT pays great attention to visual detail!
Buttons turn smooth and durable power switch. No junk here!

Nice portable size and can be powered from automobile cigarette lighter (12-volts)! I live fulltime in my car, so this works out perfect!

Too bad the ZT Jr produces a lot of hiss when the volume is above its' 1/2 setting.
The hiss is produced when powered from regular 120-volt electricity (in a building) AND 12-volt auto batteries!

Turning the TONE control knob counterclockwise makes the speaker flop as a result of bass increasing while reducing the treble. When playing the guitar, this can be a problem, since the sound quality turns muddy.

              This amp is NOT high-fidelity.

It is really loud (more than 35 watts), especially with the gain turned up. Easily loud enough to play in a small trio, with un-mic'd drummer.

It makes really good rock-guitar sound.
Jazz sound is not achievable with this particular amp (unlike the ZT Club amp; it just won't produce midbass (the circuitry and speaker cannot keep up).

I ended up selling it, and bought a Yamaha THR10 & a Roland MiniCube (which is Louder than 5 watts and both amps will operate from automotive battery with 9-V transformer).

Other than the hiss & other unwanted transients (such as low-fidelity), the Lunchbox Jr is a wonderful amp!
I would recommend this amp to a friend, but with restrictions.

Comments about ZT Lunchbox Junior Guitar Combo Amp:

This is a great amp for both bedroom practice and recording. For a tiny amp, the sound is excellent, from clean to distored. It also has some nice extras like the battery hook-up and the ability to power pedals. If you are going on vacation and need an amp to practice with, this is the one! It also looks realy cool!

Comments about ZT Lunchbox Junior Guitar Combo Amp:

If The Doctor played guitar, he would own this amp. It's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Just got one yesterday, and played it for about an hour last night with a Telecaster. It kicks. I overdrove it by cranking the Gain and Volume, and also played clean by backing off on the Gain. Great sound both ways, and amazing volume for something this small and lightweight. I've had a Lunchbox for a couple of years, and LOVE it. This is half the size, and it still matters.
