Hey guys if your reading this then your skeptical about how much this bass costs. Some of the reviews are a little sketchy and its tough to make a real decision based on them I hope I can fix that. First off I recently got my Green Dean Custom Zone so not sure on the life time of this thing but as everyone has said there isn't a picture that can do the color justice (get the dr neon strings, and the DiMarzio neon strap to match).I'm running Acoustic B200 Head paired with a B115 cab, (most importantly) a Boss GT-10B workstation. I bought this bass as a backup to my Squire Affinity Series J Bass. Without the GT-10B the Dean is very limited in the tone department it's not terrible but it really cant get as low as you might like (i'm tuned to CGCF). The neck also feels a little cheap and unfinished compared to the J Bass.On the other hand this thing is pretty awesome its super light so you can really flail it around and have fun (get strap locks). The fretboard is super fast and tight more like a guitar than a bass and the neck is rather thin so you can really fly on this baby its so fun. Paired with a good workstation/head/fx loop this thing can have the sound your looking for. I suggest this for a beginner or someone set up to compensate for the lack of options on the guitar.

decent for the money
Honestly this is probably the best way to spend 200 as far as music goes. Otherwise, I would try to save up at least 400 or 500 for something higher quality.

Even though I am in a blues band, I like being a little flashy. I love the green color, and added DR neon green strings and a neon green strap. It is surprisingly comfortable to play and has a good sound. The band loves it too.

Comments about Dean Custom Zone 4-String Bass Guitar:
I just started playing the bass, and got this VERY green Dean. It is honestly wonderful for the price, and even makes my not-so-skilled beginner playing sound awesome! The only problem is that the pointed top may break off. When I got mine, it poked right through the box! You also have to be very careful, you might blind someone with the color and then accidentally stab them, after they go deaf from the amazing sound!
Just kidding, it's a good bass, I reccomend it 100%
Comments about Dean Custom Zone 4-String Bass Guitar:
The instrument is amazing! Its great for slap, picking, muted, or plucking. All players can benefit. Plus, it looks really good and isn't that heavy. Only drawback? People may look more at you than the guitarist.
5 Stars!!

GREAT PRICE FOR A BAD ASS BASS!
My wife has this bass and it looks way better in person! Sounds even better; solid yet light. I love the fret board.
Comments about Dean Custom Zone 4-String Bass Guitar:
Very simple bass, Bought it on a whim merely because it got good reviews and I needed a cheap bass. This bass looks super fresh in person (only complaint is when it got here, the very tip of the head was slightly chipped). Green really stands out and with the DiMarzio pink clip-in strap I got, it's the ultimate setup. Bass sounds great plugged in, the tone is super throaty for the lows and punchy on the highs. (surprisingly) I slapped the Elixir Heavy (.050-.105 gauge) to tune to drop B (the primary tuning my band plays in) and it sounds beautiful. The strings that came with it sounded great too for the little amount of time I used them (standard tuning). Overall a great value considering what you're getting. It's cheap, you can beat on it, and sticker it up and it'll still look cool...

I got it in Pink and it was a bit brighter than expected, but i love it. its the best bass for the price and is just as good as my 800 dollar Fender Mexican P Bass
Comments about Dean Custom Zone 4-String Bass Guitar:
I've had this bass for some time now and I have to say it's one of the best basses I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Take it out of the box tune it to your liking and it sounds amazing. I bought Bheringer amp equipment to go with it and it's all working out great. Thank you Dean!
