OVERVIEW

Nicely made, great looking bass.

You don't need to spend a fortune to get a good-looking, easy-playing, great-sounding bass guitar. The Ibanez GSR200SM is a prime example. You get a rock solid maple neck with rosewood fretboard, a mahogany body with maple top, quality pickups and electronics and an attractive finish that will instill a real pride of ownership. It is a well-made bass, with all of the refinement and design excellence that come along with any Ibanez product.

The Ibanez DXH-5 pickups are broad in terms of response and have great dynamic range. Add to that the dual volume controls and the tone control, and you get a wide selection of available tones. Kick in the Phat II active bass boost and you add a low-end presence that rocks, funks and swings like you want it to.

The Ibanez inspection and setup process is among the best in the industry, and your GSR200SM bass will arrive ready to play right out of the box.

Comments about Ibanez GSR200SM 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

This is a graduation gift for my son. When I first opened the box I thought it was the wrong model as the color way not even close to the website photo. Much darker! Don't get me wrong, it's beautifully done and I am keeping it regardless but the lighter interior on the face of the guitar with that grain popping out would have been sweet!

Comments about Ibanez GSR200SM 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

This is the best playing bass I have ever laid my hands on. The action is so low that you can shred on this bass without any fret buzz right out of the box. I play many stringed instruments and am coming up on 20 years of playing. I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself to play in my church's band. It sounds great on a plain old church amp and great on my fender hot rod guitar amp. The looks are just as beautiful as the picture. It is a work of art and a finely tuned precision instrument. This is a bass that will play every kind of music. The tone is rich and the body is really light weight. Ibanez never disappoints.

Comments about Ibanez GSR200SM 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I was impressed by the looks and feel of the instrument. Played well and the pickups and electronics delivered a wide range of sounds. Worked well with my Sans Amp. Had some fret buzz initially but the strings were too low and I have heavy fingers. A small tweak of the stings and the buzz was gone. I replaced the strings with a lighter set and it played great. I now own a Fender, Yamaha, and a Ibanez and love them all.

Comments about Ibanez GSR200SM 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

Action & intonation/setup were perfect, right out of the box. Plugged in & just started playing. I own a few regular 6-string guitars, but this is my first bass so I'm sort of a beginner, and I found it very comfortable & easy to play. The immediate order-confirmation & timely shipping are 1 of the seller's best attributes, and if ya call to speak with a rep before you order, you're more likely to avoid any mishaps. The reps are pretty knowledgeable & personable, and if you're gonna order from MF do so by phone, referencing the SKU (product-ID#) so you get exactly what you're trying to order
