Comments about Alfred Mastering the Tables of Time, Volume 1: Introducing the Standard Timetable (Book):

Umm-ok... "THAT GUY", above, is ME. I wrote that in 2011, and honestly I thought there'd be many more reviews that would offer other drummers' opinions, but - nothing!
At this point in life, I've come to realize that there are many different ways to learn, and that virtually ALL "learning materials" have some value. Please consider looking at images online and make up your own mind. Peace and love, TTB

Sorry to be negative...

Comments about Alfred Mastering the Tables of Time, Volume 1: Introducing the Standard Timetable (Book):

Recently I have gotten back into reading drum parts, and have purchased a dozen instructional books. Obviously, I have problems with this one. Let me first say that everything has value. That being said, this book suffers from OVER HYPE. I would have to bet that most if not all the endorsements were paid. Perhaps if you only had one book, but even then, this book is simply too hard to use-not because it has difficult exercised per se, but the text is absolutely tiresome and I never saw so many italics! There is virtually no flow to the written info, and the exercises are basic; one step above writing your own, and they simply increase the density of notes in a given space.Buy Stick Control, and double your speed! Sorry.
