Alfreds Teach Yourself to Play Mandolin

Comments about Alfred Teach Yourself To Play Mandolin Book:

I can see no way of mproving this book, it is for the person who wants to learn all about music, while they learn to play the Mandolin. The CD would be helpful for those who dont sing to practice the chords with...
As always, Alfred's puts out an excellent learning book. I have been teaching for many years and enjoy their easy method books. I can't think of anything better for someone to learn to play, easy to read, good little songs to play and of course you need the chord chart . I teach my students to stay practicing in the key of C and G until they can easily play lead and do the chords while they sing...Would be nice to have a CD to chord along to.

This book is mostly music theory and a cord chart. Not very helpful to learn the mandolin. also not written well. I would urge you to pass on this book.
