Limited Utility

Comments about Hal Leonard Electric Slide Guitar (DVD):

I recently returned to playing slide guitar and was looking for an instructional video that (a) covered various aspects of slide technique, not just licks, including string gauge selection, how high or low to set your action, metal v. glass slides, how to produce a "clean" slide sound (minimize string squeal, unintended notes from nearby strings, etc.) --- nothing here, for the most part. Most of the open G and open E instruction time is consumed by direction on how to tune your guitar --- duh!--- in the open E section, for example, there is minimal coverage of Ellmore James but nothing on Duane Allman. I suspect there are better choices...
