The world's geatest drum tech reveals the secrets of great drum sound!

Jeff Ocheltree transitioned from replaceable roadie to invaluable drum tech by being the first person to take complete care of all aspects of the drums, in the glory days of such legends as Bonham and Cobham. In his first instructional DVD, he discusses his experiences and teaches techniques valuable to drum techs and all drummers—with hands-on examples using 9 different kits and 9 drummers. Jeff also discusses the unique bronze drums he makes from recycled cymbals. As a special bonus, John Bonham's kit used in Zeppelin recordings appears on-screen for the first time ever, and Bonzo's settings, tunings, and mic placements are revealed! 60 minutes.

A must for the serious drummer. Order today!

Jeff Ocheltree DVD

Comments about Hal Leonard Trust Your Ears: The Drum Tech Explorations of Jeff Ocheltree (DVD):

I purchased this DVD with three Paiste 2002 Cymbals. It is somewhat interesting. The main concept being trust your ears and that there is no real rule as a method on how your supposed to tune a drum head. It is not all about Bonham's set ups as one might wish. Jeff was only his drum tech for a couple of years. Jeff does know his stuff but I wish that maybe the DVD would have some more Road stories through the years with his adventures from the past. This DVD didn't really tell me anything I really didn't already know except for maybe certain Mic's used in rooms which is really not rocket science. Todays facilitys and methods are the same and more extream. The DVD was a bit interesting but not a real big deal.
