Specifications

Two Piece Mouthpiece!

The Bob Reeves Two Piece Trumpet Mouthpieces are designed to offer the player the best possible combination for their particular playing needs through a combination of rim and cup sizes matched for optimal performance. The Reeves Two Piece Mouthpiece number system uses small to large cup diameters ranging from low to high and cup depths ranging from extra shallow (ES) to deep (V). Each of these mouthpieces uses a standard #2 backbore and standard #4 shank.

Bob Reeves has been working with brass players, making mouthpieces, and adjusting their instruments since 1964 and continues to study and improve upon the methods and fine products that he has developed.

40 / M: 40/64" Medium. All around mouthpiece with small diameter.
41 / C: 41/64" Like Back 3C. All around general classical mouthpiece with small diameter.
41 / ES: 41/64" Extra Shallow. Good commercial mouthpiece for lead work.
41 / M: 41/64" Medium. Good all around mouthpiece. Warmer tone than "S" models. Often used as a crossover mouthpiece.
41 / S: 41/64" Shallow. Excellent centered projecting sound.
41 / SV 692s: 41/64" Shallow "V". Often used by players coming from Schilke 13A4a.
42 / C: 42/64" Like Bach 3C. All around general classical mouthpiece. Warm, centered sound.
42 / M: 42/64" Medium. Good all around mouthpiece. Warmer tone than "S" models. Often used as a crossover mouthpiece.
42 / S: 42/64" Shallow. Our most popular model. Great for all around lead playing. Compact, centered projecting sound.
42 / SV 692s: 42/64" Shallow "V". Used by lead players desiring a bright, focused sound. 692s backbore.
43 / C: 43/64" Like Bach 3C. All around general classical mouthpiece. Warm, centered sound.
43 / ES: 43/64" Extra Shallow. Great lead mouthpiece. Used by John Audino, 1st trumpet, Tonight Show 1965-1991
43 / M: 43/64" Medium. Good all around mouthpiece. Warmer tone than "S" models. Often used as a crossover mouthpiece.
