Comments about King 2055 Silver Flair Series Bb Trumpet:
I purchased this trumpet 13 months ago desiring to get a good upper end intermediate horn. Although I do love the trumpet, I did find factory quality control to be very poor. things I found were one slide tube not soldered properly and came loose withing a couple of months. 3rd slide was tight when closed from the very start. Horn repair shop tells me that it has been out of adjustment from the start. One of the valve caps has a very dull finish. I'm not sure if it was silver plated properly or just not buffed out properly. Granted, these are not major problems, but when you pay for a new horn it should be in better shape than this. It gives me concerns about purchasing horns online. When you buy one locally you have a place to take it if there are problems without having to pay shipping charges and waiting forever to get it back.. I bit the bullet an took it to a repair shop. I love my horn, but, wish the quality control had been better considering what this horn costs.
