Comments about Manhasset 1340 Trombone Mute Holder:
I had hoped to use the 1340 Trombone Mute Holder for ALL of my trombone mutes, but the tension on the adjustable elbow isn't strong enough. It'll hold an aluminum Tom Crowne straight mute but, when I insert a stone-lined, Humes & Berg cup mute, the weight is too much for the elbow. The tension releases, the arm drops, and the mute (usually) falls to the floor.
I wish the (now discontinued) Jo-Ral three-mute holder that clips to the music stand's shaft was still available!
