I'm first chair in my high school band's trombone section. I've been playing since the summer of my 8th grade year, and this is the only stuff I will use again. Before I had this, I tried Superslick, and while that worked, it was pretty messy with all of the grease. I just have to say that if you use this as directed, there will be no mess, and it takes as long as 5 minutes. If you put too much on, just add water and it will be good to go. I reapply it every couple weeks or so. Absolutely no problems. Only bad side is that the pack I have didn't come with a water sprayer or a rapid comfort, but that's ok.

I accidently sent my last post before I was finished.I just want to add that you have to use this product as directed. Don't use a whole lot of it. A little goes a long way. I still have plenty left from purchasing it two years ago.

I usually will treat my slide with the Superslide treatment first, and then use Slide-o-Mix. After a one time Superslide treatment, I only have to use the Slide-o-Mix before each playing period, spray a little water, and I'm good to go.I also suggest a good swab with a cleaning rod wrapped with muslin before applying a new coat of Slide-o-Mix. My slide is then slick as wet ice afer that. I highly recommend this product.BUT KEEP YOUR SLIDE CLEAN WITH FREQUENT SWABS WITH THE CLEANING ROD.

This stuff has been my favorite for years and years. It works consistently well every time, and always has the best slide feel I've experienced being slick and effortless with no sticking or hesitance. I used a lot of other products early on but until I find something better (which so far doesn't seem to exist) this is it for me.

I always look for sale stuff, so at first, I thought about something else. When I bought a trombone for my son, I had problems getting that slide to stop feeling "spongy". No matter what I did or what products I tried, nothing worked. I stepped up to the plate and bought this stuff, expecting to be out that much more money. To my amazement, this stuff worked!!! I just hope he holds on to that slide now! Just follow the 2 step process and you too will be amazed. I know- sounds like an infomercial and I don't even have an Auctralian accent! TRY IT, BUY IT, LOVE IT!

Great product, makes a slide that has been beat up by students work good. As far as a good pro-slide. Watch out...it can get away from you very easily.

Provides a very smooth feel to the slide and doesn't have the sticky feeling that greases or creams have. An excellent price, too. Most music stores will charge nearly the list price for this item.

This stuff works. I used slide cream for years but finally got tired of having to carry around a spray bottle and the mess that came with applying the cream itself. It's a little pricey for the amount sold, but if you're a serious player and you play enough for your slide action to matter, Slide o Mix is the way to go.

I use this on my horn and never have problems with moving my slide. One day I let someone with the worst horn condition I seen. He used and he changed his slide from hardly moving(because of dents and bad care) to moving like it was new. I recomend this for any trombone player.
