Bob McGrath chose the musical instruments in the rhythm band set, McGrath, Sesame Street's music man intends the percussion set for preschoolers and the early grades. The kids instruemnt set includes a woodblock, tambourine, Tom Boy, triangle, pair of sand blocks, pair of rhythm sticks, pair of maracas, pair of finger cymbals, play-along CD, and a reusable box with handle. Use the instruments with all of Bob's books and teaching aids.

Great value for great instruments! Exactly what we hoped for. Nice sound out of tom-tom and tambourine. Triangle is solid, finger cymbals are great. Durable for use with children. Using for our Sunday School class. Our toddler got hold of them beforehand and had a ball playing all the instruments.

Overall, good purchase for the money. Instruments are durable regardless of what others have commented about the drum. I was confident in buying this product knowing that there was hassel free returns in case I wasn't happy with the quality.

The tamborine arrived smashed within the box but the customer service rep was very helpful and sent a replacement asap. Sadly, within moments of the first usage the drum and tamborine tops were shredded. The other instruments, in comparison, seemed far better constructed for use with children. I will need to look elsewhere for a drum. I would only recommend this set for instruments other than the drum. Count the drum as a lost cause and the tamborine a close second.

This product is excellent for kid's first year in band . this lets them experiment with all the instruments they use during concerts and contests . Once their first year is over its great for practicing after school before a performance or any time at all.
