Comments about Rhythm Band Large Superball Mallets:

using this as a friction mallet (flumi) to get "whale sounds" from a gong. Doesn't work for this with cymbals. Has a nice long mallet handle, that is flexible plastic, gets good rebound and stick feel. The superball head is pressed against the gong while drawing it in a circular motion or going straight across the lathed portion of the gong. The friction causes the gong to vibrate higher pitched moans. Also mice to play directly on cymbals instead of a tympani mallet. Worth the price.

I am a healer with Tibetan singing bowls and gongs. Using this superball mallet for meditation,I really like the sound a lot, its very relaxing and suiting. I love my purchase.
